They are brilliant, you can go to work and when you come home it's ready to eat...

Plus, the left overs I freeze, and reuse for fishing,re heated, sometimes as nice as first time around ..

We recommend this book..ultimate,slow cooker favourites by cara hobday..

I now have a multi cooker as it's more versatile than just a slow cooker

At least she's spending time cooking rather than other things

Gives you something to look forward to when you've been in the cold all day , i often do a complete meal in it , vedge usually with my Chicken or pork , great way to cook !

Also while i'm at it , if you haven't tried frozen chips in an actifryer you are missing out , straight from the freezer , 20 mins , better than a chip shop chips !

Best ribs I've ever had in this country have been done in slow cookers. You can really do pretty much anything in them if you get creative enough. I've seen cakes and things being done in them, never tried it myself though.

Never tried them in the slow cooker, but I can't imagine them being better than doing a 321 cook in the smoker

I'm not that keen on pork but they're delish!

Yeah there is no substitute for proper smoked or bbq ribs. Like I said, in this country because when I've been to the states it's on another level 🤤🤤

I've done it a few times myself and had slow cooker ribs from other people. I think it's the fact you can do the same prep for say bbq or whatever, Chuck them in snd walk off and not even have to check them for hours on end, come back and the bones pull right out clean it's that tender. Pulled pork/chicken/beef is another great one in the slow cooker, again it's nice and simple and one pot because you can pull it in cooker and then it's served from there on the warm setting keeping it good for however long it's needed.

I don't do much indoor cooking, our slow cooker mainly gets used for stews and casseroles, dumplings have been a bit hit and miss with it but it's easy to make a lovely meal, hard to burn/overcook anything and even cheap tough cuts of meat melt in the mouth
The mrs keeps threatening to do a brisket in it, but whenever she buys it she gets a load of charcoal at the same time
