New pair of vass 740e waders, a set of 3 10ft free spirit s-lites (wanted a set of 10ft rods for a new syndicate this year) through the mist and a fox high neck jumper

That jumper is so warm I ain't took it off yet haha

I got a bucket in a bag with a rotating padded lid. It's great. Going to be perfect for my fly and surface fishing as I am getting older and prefer to sit.

My missus “surprised me” with a few ridgemonkey items, plates sets, pans etc... luckily only relatively low cost items as I didn't have the heart to tell her its a bit overpriced....ive just spent a fair bit on items i actually want. New luggage and other items........ i did also get a Gardner sleeping bag and cover off Santa which i did let her know I wanted, and she also renewed my club membership for me.....good girl she is...or she wants me out the house more.......

So ive done quiet well for fishing stuff this year.....

Tbh, it amazes me with how much is spent on Christmas presents noted here. Some of the lists of gifts received are amazing. Most years a bottle of scotch and a bag of peanuts is what I receive, perfect.

I had spent a small fortune through the year on fishing gear, it makes me wince thinking about it and I couldn't justify anymore stuff, although I do keep looking at a deeper chirp, but it can wait until nearer April, I wont use it anyway before then. My immediate need is a set of new Audi Q5 tyres so that's my belated Christmas present.

For the first time in as long as I can remember I actually got a fishing related present of the Mrs. A copy of Dave Levys book Fallen kings. Was hoping for Terry's new one, but we all live in hope..

I have 2 aswel, coz of covid this year ive saved 5.5k and paid for xmas with my overtime I done before xmas, the only good thing to come out of covid for me was doing nothing has meant I've saved some money and done the overtime as nowhere to go

I got to admit that I have saved a lot of money also this year, not as much as you but I have managed to save some from things I would of normally done. Only bad thing is My mrs will more than likely find something to spend it on lol
