Looking at investing in a new bivvy,the Sonik axs looks great for the money.Has anyone got one and if so what's your thoughts

Real world height wise,is this bivvy taller than a tempest brolly?

I've recently bought one so I can go night fishing for the first time but haven't used it yet. Is it easy to put up and pack down? Also would you put the ground sheet down first and then open up the bivvy over it or bivvy up first and then ground sheet?

Mate of mine bought one a couple of months back and the velcro on the front poles wasn't long enough to actually put it up, swapped it for a Tempest and hasn't looked back

I have the shelter version which is basically the same as the bivvy
Compared to my V1 Brolly the Axs has a lot more headroom
I can sit on the side of my bed and see out without having to stoop down 👍👍
I like it dead easy to put up and good quality material

Oh dear, the whole Bivvy tensions up via two Straps identical as you find on a rucksack, the two Velcro pads are to stick the tails of the straps on once tightened, so they don't hang down (They don't do anything else)
I've used one since they first came out - its been faultless
~ Groundsheet is purposely made so you fit it in after the bivvy is up, as it slopes upwards around the back and both sides when it clipped in, stops draughts I presume.

I use a bivvy light in my Trakker and there's no metal to connect it to. I just put a 10 pence piece on top of the bivvy and the light directly beneath, job done.

Can't fault mine as a quick overnighter, or nearly as quick as a brolly to stick up on a day session

what were your issues. Im looking at these, they look the part, the size seems great, most state there purchases have been great. Was there a specific issue or lots of smaller issues your dont like ?

Sounds like you must have got a Friday one !!
mind you you cant blame a bivvy for condensation
thats caused by warm air hitting a cold surface normally help to eliminate is by ventilation and of course a wrap
I first saw a Sonik AXS bivvy on a lake next to the Trent not long after they came out it was June 2020 the guy was telling me it was the best bivvy he had ever owned
he had just come back from a weeks fishing trip in Holland he said he had a tempest brolly sold it bought the Nash hide sold it a week later as it was too low then saw Future Fishing were selling them at a discount so bought it for his Dutch trip must say the quality looked superb
and with a top quality 10,000mm HH CloudbaseTM fabric its never gonna leak ! I have heard nothing but glowing reports ???

Me to Jerry, mine been faultless – and I would not expect anything else with being such a simple fool proof design.
I don't know how anyone can call then “Cheap Chinese Tat” as all the Bivvys out there are, all are made in the same factories by the same cheap unskilled labour.
Take some measuring equipment with you and compare with a “Over priced bit of Chinese tat” sat in the next swim.
Same diameter Poles, same wall thickness
Same Zips
Same webbing diameter and thickness
Same thickness material
Same diameter stitching thread
It's all the same- other than the price, which is almost triple in some examples.

I kinda rate this bivvy as well, had it for over a year.
bought it when it came out for a affordable price. For 230 pounds i was shocked with the quality of fabric.
The thing i love is a great thick fabric that does not let light in and this bivvy has it, was fast to erect good price couldnt fault it. The thing i didnt like when i bought a winterskin they did not supply and extension for the floor mat so i had and uncovered part when it was cold weather. I sold it because my girl wanted to go angling with me so we slept in it a few times it was a bit cramped so i moved on to something bigger.
But for the price i payed the bivvy gave more than i expected.
