I have a few Caterpaults but wondered if there is an ideal one for firing single boiles a long way..
I am also looking for a Caterpault than can fire small balls of groundbait, (usually pellets and crushed boiles) without squashing them when pulled back. Maybe with a small solid cup?

By far and away the most accurate boilie catapult I have is made by ESP.
For groundbait balls source a Trev Tomlin Whopper Dropper catapult.
It is an old design but has a rigid cup that is ideal for balls that tend to disintegrate....

Agree with braders, the original drennan boilie pult still cant be beaten. Ive tried a few over the years but always go back to trusty drennan.

Drennan black latex and a small mesh pouch. Great for singles, and can fire three at a time to about 50-60 yards in a small spread.

Another vote for the black drennan feederpult. As said can hit about 60 yards. Just carry a few spare elastics as with any pult.

Drennan whopper dropper - bought mine 30 + years ago ! with the hard pouch can do 3-4 15mm with good grouping.

. . .going against the grain here but for boilies my Atomic T Pult remains the best all round pult I've used barring none and I reckon I've used most of them. . .the wide rectangular frame negates knuckle fraps and the pouch is perfect - only pain is fitting new elastics but then it is on any pult . . .

Agree... But mine is sat in the garage on the shelf cause I can't get the elastic to fit correctly. On the upside, my throwing stick skills have improved immensely!
Can you (or anyone) share what method you use to get the elastic on properly?

Drennan bollie pult i know that a lot of people say there good but I had one and got fed up with elastic twisting after every fire I would have to un tangle it

How about drilling a small hole in the arms at the top and attaching a small split ring. Then attaching the elastic with cable ties.

The friction is what gives it strength so I don't think that would work tbh. The problem is the friction works both ways so it's a pain to get it on

I've the original whopper dropper (more than 30 years old now, albeit arms are metal) that's exactly what they done with it. So see no reason why.
And it sends boilies further than my atomic.

Just had a look around as I believe you'll get a better result from a catapult that doubles the elastic over at the arms and the pouch ends. This one at decathlon looks a fair bet

Guru light for 15mm singles upto 60yrds.
Guru incredible for x6 + 15mm ers, with tight grouping. Only used this one for the first time at the weekend fishing short distance.
Both are really accurate.
My fox ones are now back on the garage shelf.

Used, abused & snapped them all, Fox, Korda, ESP etc. Drennan Groundbait Strong & Boiliepult ace for accuracy & distance. Single boilies most accurate (boiliepult) & golfball sized gb for groundbait catty.
