Ordered some of this (amazingly quick service btw) as my usual bait supplier was flat out and it caught me on the hop with no bait.
Anyone on it? How are you doing with it? To me it has a real distinctive meaty smell which surprised me as the description says it has a fruity powder palatant. First time out with it tomorrow so well see how it goes!

It's a quality bait, had fish to 55lb (UK) on it, use with confidence.

You won't be disappointed. If you need any proof of what it can do then just flick through the Blake's social media. Honest reviews and reports from normal customers. It has caught me a serious amount of big U.K. carp.

It's an old skool recipe with a modern twist. The fishmeals and one part of the liquids make it fishy/meaty but there is fruit palatant in it which I can detect instantly. Liver and glm in it too which make it easy to identify. The basemix is a strong smell without any liquids added. You can smell it from a distance when working with it and the base smells sickly/fruity yet fishmeal. Ruins your clothes 😂

It definitely has lingering qualities. The dog has become intent on trying to get into the shed all of a sudden and the Mrs is wondering what the smell is in the house 😂

Just an update, really happy with the bait and some encouraging results to start off with! Just placed another order. Highly recommended.

Has anyone tried the red fish pro? A red fish meal is probably more up my street than an out and out HNV bait.

Yes been using it for the last month or so for carp and barbel. So far barbel to just over 10lb and carp to 32lb. Really like their baits.

Any feedback on how it performs in winter?

I used it last winter, it caught in November within 45 minutes of been in the water... then the water closed up shop, until early February then flooded with an extra 9' of water!!. It works, a lovely bait, subtle label.I found it didn't need a lot of freebies around each rod, a dozen or so and some crumb. Been very impressed with Blake's baits and their service. I would add that the bait spray was/is just Minamino, not that there's anything wrong with that but it didn't seem to have any of the “plum” flavour or the flowery EO added to it..

Hope this is allowed? With regard to my previous post, Gavin (Keeperboy) got in touch and apologised and offered a replacement for the bait spray, this morning out of the blue, a bottle of spray along with a tub of hookbaits arrived, just shows that not only is HNV Pro a great bait along with the rest of their range, but also Blakes are willing to go above and beyond in terms of service. Well recommend.
