Shimano tx4 intensity 13FT & Ultegra Ci4 & Test line .28 } 50lb Korda arma cord leader } Nash kling on leader to 4oz heli lead set up with a ronnie rig.. and lots of practice

It's a good hit that however a bit unorthodox how you stand and cast which is testament to your hand speed tbf. 👍
I was over 180 with a tail wind and 0.33 line and a rig on with 0.42 mono leader the other week. That's was with a 12mm bait on. The 16mm bait went 170+yds.
Its a massive cast with a rig on that very few ever get to (without a rig on) however I wish you good luck with your quest...👍👍

....You won't because you have your wrong foot forward. If you are a right handed caster you using a single step should have your weight on your right foot with your feet close together you then step with your left then cast.
Because you have your left foot back behind your right it's stopping you from arching your back, getting your weight on your right root and getting the rod flat at the start.
The way you are casting you are virtually starting at 45 degrees behind which is massively reducing your casting 'stroke'. Its also making you finish the cast witht he rod pointing too low.

I used to fish alongside a guy who would cast 170yds with chimera 3.5 t.c . He regularly caught at that range and he didn't even look like he was trying. That was a long time ago as well. Technique and practice are everything.

Same set up as Terry Edmunds, I've seen him do well over 200 so it's certainly possible

Me too. Remember once hitting a 5 iron on the 18th around 180 yards to the flag. Was at Ingon manor where the clubshop is around 30 yards to the left of the pin. Anyway, I caught this 5 iron lovely only for it to go left and me and my mate held our heads in our hands and then the noise of falling roof tiles was embarrassing to say the least. The ball had landed 15 feet from the hole and I went on to miss the putt. The pro in the pro shop was great about it and asked if I was coming tomorrow as he'd put the mother in law up on there. There was a collection box for cancer research and I duly put in £20.
