Anyone recommend decent spods or spombs that will last and work properly. Thanks in advance

I have no issues with the original spomb. Some people like the nash dot spod, but not used it myself.

Fors and againsts for all of them, comes down to personal preference
Do a search on YouTube someone did a comparison a year or so ago

All down to personal preference, Spomb or Fox Rocketeer for me.

I've used all of them and they all have pros/cons. I keep going back to the spomb.

I keep on using the original Spomb.
Never had problems with them, although like most I do make sure that I add a Spomb float, or a cheaper version of a pike popper inside the body.

The original spomb works so well for me I don't see a need to change. Have got a couple that have had a lot of work. Still sound and work fine. I always use a spomb float.

Used a Spomb for years and not had an issue. Bought a Dot Spod (not Nash version) last year to try as was on offer via a bait company and used it a few times for boilies and I quite like it. Better than the Spomb? Not sure but I am happy to use both with the main advantage of the Spomb over the Dot being quantity of bait it can hold

How do you find it when casting out at say about 50 yards. Does it still open OK?

Only issue I've had with the Spomb is using bird seed or hemp in a sloppy mix that can caught in the mechanism within the tail and prevent it from closing properly or flicking open on the cast but that's 'user error'. Instead of dunking it in the bucket I'll use a cup / can to fill it when using fine particles. Had 3 Fox versions but they all broke - maybe better now?

Original Spombs work a treat.
Got given a Wolf thingy as well a few months ago and i have to admit it flies out like crazy as well!

Could not get on with spomb went back to spod to much faffing around trying to get it to close then it opens in air and expensive spod faster to bait imho
