I understand that these have been discontinued and a friend has searched high and low for a set of 3 (1 would suffice for now). Does anyone know where there is any in stock (maybe abroad) as he has 2 so needs to 1 to make up a 3rd rod on the long range set up.

I believe he is after another 2 to put on a set of scope 3lbers but would be open to suggestions on other ones to compliment them. Doesn't mind second hand either so long as they are in very good condition if anyone is selling.

Ive just ordered two Daiwa Emcast 25a for my 2.75lb Accurix's to replace some castizms.

Affordable at 75 quid each.

Good choice, sold my 3 castizms and bought 4 emcast 25a's and pocketed £260, in use I prefer these as the drag isn't quick and on the rod they feel no different. Two of mine have been used on 10ft scopes while the other two are unused along with another pair of scopes.

Those black emblem reels are demanding decent money atm. I bought all mine via France though they seem to be out of stock everywhere atm.

This isn't going to help immediately but i know petes tackle in southend/rochford definitely has some in stock but at present he is still closed. It could be worth sending him a mesage on fb though.

5 minute job:

1. Buy replacement clips (easy to find on eBay - about a tenner).
2. Took off spool and remove old clip using a small flat head screwdriver (basically just flick off the holding clip)
3. Insert new clip and hold in place using small metal spring clip (bit like a bent paper clip).

I upgraded the line clips, upgraded the drag washers and played about with the washers controlling line lay. Fantastic reels with a few tweaks

i too replaced the clips via ebay from SCR, absolute pony, i returned them all for a full refund

i have replaced the washers and use a Weston quick drag, perfect

I've had my 5 upgraded gradually since I bought them 5 years ago, bearing upgrades, slow oscillation, lines clips from Jim's reel shop, and now with spools from Weston developments. Actually use them over my ss3000's and custom tournaments particularly with my 10 footers. Mad to think I got them for £45 each brand new out the shop in a sale..

Where is the best place to get carbon washers for them? I've replaced my line clips but I've found I need to stick the paper clip type thing in place as two of them turn when I put line in the clip. Not great

From what I can see on the emails they have sent there is no indication of time frame for delivery. There website states 4-6 working days during normal circumstances, so with everything going on i would expect it to be delayed.

Yes, but you have to be browsing on a PC not a phone. In the top right corner of address bar there is a translate web page option. Hope this helps.

If you are on your phone, use chrome as your browser
It will give a pop up asking if u want to translate to English

I used Chrome on mobile and it promts the translation when you go on the site.

I received tracking details today and they had translated it into English.

I won't tell you how much I paid for my 3 Done about 20 quid in fuel though which took the total cost over the 100 pound mark...

What are the differences between those and the Emblem S? if they're the same in all but name and your mate isn't bothered about aesthetics, then at 50/60 quid a pop they are worth it.

I have three of the black Emblem XT's never had a problem with the SCR line clip replacements less than 2 minutes to replace and have been fine for the last 18 months.
