I'm in the market for a new trio of alarms, I've narrowed it down to the Fox MX Alarms, the Nash R3 alarms or do I fork out £550 and buy the new Delks? Thanks in advance lads 👍

Entirely up to you then there is the wild alarms.
Personally I'd get the Delks

I've had Fox mostly in the past and then went for the TXI Delks about 2yrs ago, wouldn't change them now 👌

For what it's worth since Lockdown I have watched loads of Carp videos on You Tube, Instagram and Facebook, from the last 12 months............ Thinking Anglers, Korda, Fox, Nash, Gardner, ESP to others just doing what they do.....I was really surprised just how many now use Fox alarms.

I love my rx+ but the vibration system on the Delkims for me is better than a wheel.I like the look of the new Wolf having both but crazy money.

Are people finding with the new TXI D that they are pretty much finding their setting with them and just leaving them alone.

I've found I've pretty much done that with my RX+ just changing the sensitivity when I'm zig fishing.

I really like my RX+ and like the look of the new delks but am a little concerned by the possible complexity of them.

Yeah the bleep speed is pretty much set at home haven't changed it since.....and the it's just response speed depends on how you are fishing ie locked up or if the wind or tow are bad...

I really like my TXI-Ds. Found the TXI plus too sensitivity even on negative setting and the receiver in new ones is spot on.... streets ahead of the old one.

The Do Not Disturb on the receiver at night is quality too......

Only get up for a proper run.



I didn't like the RX+ after having NTXrs just though they weren't as solid. What I do like about the Fox's is the speaker quality is superb.

Always used Delkims myself, never had any problems, but I have heard from people on the bank (not keyboard warriors! :D ) who I respect and would listen, that the Delk vibration system is not as good on Dropbacks.
Which maybe valid.
(BTW, that's not a slur at people who post on forums but sometimes these bite alarm debates get heated and you can't believe one thing from the next! )
Hard to do a side by side test but I could see it being possible.
Not bothered, love my Delks, they give me enough on dropbacks the rare time I get them.

That for me was a key area I expected Delkim to address with the new model, the Drop-Back indication on the NTXR's & RX's is superb.

I think if you could take some features from the Delkim txi-d and the Fox rx+ you could have the perfect alarm.Maybe the Wolf Iq is going be just that,

I used to own a set of Delkim TXI's but sold them when I started fishing a park lake as I didn't want that kind of money sat on display. Ended up buying a set of Nash S5 alarms for £17 each and to be fair they have been brilliant. I only fish from a brolly and always set up with my rods just in front so the lack of reciever never bothered me.

If I am 100% honest I have no idea what the difference between the vibration/roller wheel does.

Buy delk txis. Iv had mine 10 years and never had a single problem with them and iv fished in every type of weather. If you cant spend the money then id say Gardner ATTS. Good alarms for the money

I can't say that drop back differentiation has ever been a major selling point for me. Had the old Fox SX for years which had it, now have the old style TXIs which don't. Either way I look at the bobbin and the line entering the water when the alarm makes a noise and that tells me what I need.

IMO being able to accurately adjust sensitivity depending on your situation is the most important thing with a bite alarm, an alarm set up for flat calm on a small lake is useless on a big windy water fishing at range. That was the main reason I couldn't get on with the ATTS, swapping roller wheels out depending on the weather/undertow didn't cut it.

If I was you, I would save myself a few quid and buy a set of ATT's , these really are great compact alarms. Good build quality and great after sales. I had a set a Delkim TXI' sprior to these and I would say they are easily as good?

I'm half tempted to pick up a set of the JRC alarms now my old Fox MMX have finally given it up.

As much as I'd love to fork out on a set of top end Delks/Fox - its just not personally worth it when considering the frequency I fish (once every 6 weeks ish) - so 10 a year (ish).

Never found I really used half the settings; tone I kept the same on all 3, volume yes (low), sens once in a while.
