I'm looking for a mid range set of bite alarms. Ideally 3 alarms with a receiver
I have been looking at the sonik gizmo alarms and reciever at around £200 - anyone used these? Or what have you found good for around that same price

Gardner atts alarms are good for the money brand new. I wouldnt buy to cheap as the receiver wont be any good tbh. Try ebay aswell people sell 2nd hand delks cheapish.

You can get 3 and reciever for about £230 online. Bullet proof alarms and really good for the money i dont think you can beat them at that price range. Receiver is good aswell

Or just spend abit more money and get some delk txis. I know they are more money but i have had mine for 10 years now and still goin strong. Never had a problem with them

For that money I'd second the ATT's. Reliable and foolproof with the best receiver in that price range.
Even though I have gone back to the New Delkims, I still have a set of ATT's with a deluxe receiver which my kids use.

In your budget you can get brand new set of nash siren s5r which are fantastic alarms and will be probably the best you can buy new within budget. Second hand there are loads of options, a little more will get you a set of delks if you are patient, you could get atts as mentioned but they are marmite, personally hated them and got shot pretty quickly, although they do have quite a following for some reason

If I was after a cheaper set of alarms I'd go for the JRC Radar CX.
I also had a set of ATTS for a bit and wasn't a fan, worst alarms I had for false beeps.

Recommend the atts.. what's not to like about them 🤷🏻♂️ does what it says on the tin, nothing else..
Good shout about the JRC alarms, mate had the top end set but I believe all the range look similar.

there are a few things that I think are essential in an alarm these days and they have ALL 6 plus lots more
1 sensitivity adjustment
2 decent battery life
3 waterproof
4 night marker
5 adjustable volume
6 good receiver range

Probably made by a CEM in the UK or Europe as volumes probably not big enough to do in Asia.

I use a set for my river fishing and I found the range on the receiver is truly amazing ? what have you found wrong with it ?

fox micron es then a attx dongles and reciever..will last for ever.

You should be able to pick up Atts with a deluxe receiver for 200ish, by far the best alarm out there had the others they dont come close for reliability ease of use or looks,,

Nothing wrong with range. No more than one light At a time will work on the receiver, get two bleeps on the head and it signals a run at the receiver, latch time does not match the heads about 9 seconds, only one tone for all alarms, 1 bleep on head gives annoying tone on receiver, like I said I would class these as decent budget rather than mid range alarms

2nd hand would be my bet, nash R3 x3 with reciever or even the old fox mmxrs, both selling on ebay right now within that price bracket mate. the nash,s have a lifetime warrenty as well. Only bit of nash gear i ever liked...

I purchased a set of Sonik SKX's recently, did everything I needed and wanted so was excited to open the box and get fiddling!
One alarm didn't work off the bat, it powered on but no response and the receiver didn't cycle through its sensitivity.
To be fair I called Sonik and they said send them back and they'll just replace straight away but after thinking about it, was concerned about lingevity with two duds out of the box and so just at sent them back to the retailer for a refund.
They did sound tinny also so didn't engender a solid feel.
After a bit of umming and ahhing I went out to look at a couple of txids instead and I was instantly sold!
Like night and day IMO on quality and very happy having used them now through torrential rain and shine.
If in any doubt do it!

Had the DS3 alarms. Although the features they have on them are great, they are really let down with the battery life. from one session to the next, I just wasn't sure if they'd be dead when turning them on. Always bought legit batteries for them and meticulously made sure they were turned off correctly; for some unknown reason, they just ate batteries. Had a few runs on them and they never made a sound as the batteries had died mid session.
JRC have some new top range buzzers out. From personal experience, I'd be very hesitant to buy them from what I'd encountered with their top tier DS3 alarms. Utter poo.

Nash R3 mate! I've used delks, Neviles and fox rx's before these and had issues with all of them. Delks were horrible, used the R3s for the past 3 years and genuinely can't recommend them enough. Pretty sure you can grab a set 2nd hand within your budget

Decent alarms at a low price has to be the origanal Sonik SKS alarms. Mine are now spares but are still perfect and 3 years old now or more. Around £120

I've got a set of Gizmo's, after one of my JRC DSi's finally packed up after many years of faultless service, knowing the accumulator had packed in – not viable to be reparable
Needed a set very quick, as I had a few quick sessions planned to get some Otter Fence maintenance done at the same time - receiver enabled Alarms needed
How Sonic can sell them for the price is beyond me, they are stuffed to the gunnels with features – quite like the Bivvy light doubling up as a 2nd receiver, always good to have back up with electronics.
Not used them extensively but I have in some horrendous conditions, and they have been faultless.
I would not worry about costs of alarms these days - as they have become a bit like “Spuds” , different types may have different skins on the outside, but the inside bit, is pretty much the same in them all.

I had a set of r3s fail on me aswell and nash refused to do anything or help out even though there was a obvious fault, they were ok but can get alarms just as good for a lot less
I've had the new delks since they came out about 18 months ago ever had one problem with them out in all weathers
