Couple of weeks back I melted the tension strap on my tempest brolly with a hot ridge monkey.
I contacted Trakker to purchase a spare and they sent me one out free of charge.
Top customer service 👍

Yep good service from them too, I've also found TFG/Fishtec spot on in all departments, even when I've asked about a random non TFG replacement part, they've helped when the correct manufacturer didn't even reply!

In the same vein, I had to contact Aqua as the thread on the plastic pole insert on my fast & light had sheared. They sent me a new one within days of sending the email. No charge, no fuss. Excellent after sales service.

My Trakker chair fell apart and they replaced it with a new one no questions asked.
The stitching on my Cyprinus bed came undone, they replaced it with a better bed no questions asked.
Ultima sent me a free spool of line when a spool I bought was rubbish, it was twisting like a pigs knob, the replacement was the same, binned both of them.
Dal at Dalelectronics had a nightmare with one of my alarms trying to repair it, it was an intermittent fault and I had to send it to him 3 times before he fixed it, he didnt give up and didnt charge me any extra, brilliant service.
Sonic sent me a replacement 5 rod quiver free when mice ate my old one.
Fox ignored my emails when I told them half of their edges hooks were not sharp that I bought
Emailed Nash about something, forget what, they ignored my emails.

When companies have a good dedicated service like that it shows that customers will return. When companies ignore us I will never buy anything off them. I want my money going somewhere where I feel it's deserved

They have no record of my cash purchase, or sale in their books, but are going to send it back to trakker for me & see what they say.

Same here, broke an illuminated swinger by stepping on it and emailed them asking if I could buy a new plastic casing part. Sent me a whole new head unit for no charge which arrived 2 days later.
Was well impressed seeing as it was entirely my fault and no issue with the product.

I agree. Trakker customer service is shocking. After yet another product has failed I definitely will shop elsewhere. I've had a pole compress and a thread completely snap under no pressure. I think its time for everyone to realise we are paying a high price for cheaply imported products that are usually poor quality.
I've had one of the original Armos 14 years and it is still perfect yet these new bivvies are shot after 18 months.
Trakkers customer service is to point you to where to buy spare parts so to make more money off the back of rubbish products.

I find it worrying the amount of people have to contact these companies in the first place., especially for items which are so lightly used. A product that is used once a week, once a month, and is mostly static, should not break within a year. The quality control on a lot of items is laughable, and it makes you wonder what these "consultants" actually do.

People would pay a premium for something that is well built and made to last. My brother's hide has already had replacement part 6 months in. He probably hasn't used it 10 times yet. All we are doing is paying a premium price for something that is no better than something made by cyprinus which is half the price.

The thing is if we keep buying this overpriced rubbish they will keep making it. I'm surprised no one has started making uk made bivvies. There are plenty of other good companies making in other areas, defiant mps, custom angling solutions etc etc.
I'm fed up of buying overpriced tat that doesn't last even with the minimum amount of use. Trakker/aqua have to be up there with the worst now. Considering where aqua started its a shame to see them fall so far since trakker took them over.

Why do people Feel the need go direct to the manufacturer ??
Your First port of call is the tackle shop as your contract is with them. They sold it to you not the manufacturer
The manufacturer does not have to talk to you at all

That's just splitting hairs.
then you boycott the brand And buy something else It is your money
If enough do it they won't survive Simple

Best thing to do with a faulty bit of kit is to go back to the tackle shop if it's less than 12 months old.
Make them aware of Sales and goods act.
Ask for a refund.
I did this years ago when I purchased a Nash brolly which leaked after 11 months and got a credit note for the full value.

How many people go direct to Foxconn when their iPhone dies? 1%?
Most go and speak to the kiddy in Carphone Warehouse....where they bought it from.

So if you had a Vodafone contract through the carphone warehouse you wouldn't ring Vodafone then?
If these companies want to promote constantly on social media that they are making the latest greatest product then they should expect contact from people when it isn't upto the standards they constantly promote.
I spend a considerable amount of money on fishing gear but there are alot of products out their now where they are laughing at the consumer with the prices they are charging.
No one can argue that the standard has improved. Bivvies may have improved in design but have taken a massive step back in quality.

No, because it's not a physical item that requires a courier for replacement and/or shipping. If I drop off a rod to a tackle shop for replacement, I won't have to pay the courier fees. I'm pretty sure your consumer rights are in better stead going with the place of purchase rather than the manufacturer.
As for bivvys, I saw a fella with an immaculate Hutchy Apothesis last night. Looked in better nick than my Fast N Light.

we seem to buy so much of our gear online nowadays and returning a faulty bulky item is a pain. I recently purchased a Trakker tempest Advanced 100 Bivvy online.
The carry bag had a hole in it and the zip on the bag was a bit dodgy. To send it back to the shop would have been a pain..... so I tried to contact Trakker to maybe send a replacement bag. I found it impossible to get any details to do so. I gave up and just put up with a dodgy bag.

I think we could be missing a point here?
Fishing Bivvies have got to be the biggest rip off in carpfishing. Some company's are now charging nearly a grand for a tent!!!
How long are they guaranteed for?
And let's not forget the hassle, back and forwards swapping them, not good for customer relations with the tackle shop either. Your paying top dollar for it let's not forget, you expect top end reliable kit, that's why you pay a premium, end of
I wouldn't slate a company for the sake of it but I've had my fill with Trakker. I have had a few grands worth of there gear. No more, I've posted the problems I've had before, straight off the top of my head, 6 plus faulty tents and they were all virtually new
And for the record I have a V3 armo now, got it delivered, aquatex damaged on the roof panel, tiny, about the size of a 5p but that is not the point, ****ing rubbish

Take a look at the new sonik range, material on the bivvy is superb and at less than £250 for a quick erect bivvy imo is value for money.I have a trakker v2 bivvy and skullcap used it for 2 nights in total,I might get rid and get the sonik

I have seen them in the shop, material feels cheap. Going for nearly them price as an aquatex armo was too, probably more when you have done adding all the bits!
Will have a nosy mate when I need one
The cyprinus is worth a look too. I have a DPM compact, spot on for the money
Edit - Had a google Braders, is this the AXS Bivvy you are talking about? Looks like a tidy bit of kit and a reasonable price too.
