Yes mate. All three shops will have them within the next week or so. 13/16mm pop ups & balanced. The bucket underneath that one in the photo is full up with Curry-GPB2 16mm balanced.
Got Curry-S2 done as well.

After getting the newer versions of the orange guns in China for our second base (which are so much quieter). I thought I would look at some other guns in the UK too. The others have been used for years now and get slightly noisier with age. They have earned their way being used everyday for years. I have purchased five of these guns which are Β£42 each on fleabay. They come without a battery, which was ideal as I have so many batteries now. They fit the exact same battery (Makita) as the mk2 orange guns have. The battery with the red clip in the second photo.
These guns come set up with the 300ml tube on. It's very simple to change over to the 600ml and plunger provided. You need a stainless steel washer and a steel 40mm woodscrew. The plunger they come with is solid, lets far less bait behind the plunger during operation. You just need to use the woodscrew as a drill bit & screw through the plunger itself to make a hole. Once you make your hole, add a washer, add some strong impact adhesive to the screw thread & screw the plunger on to the metal rod. If you do not add adhesive the thread will come undone when you unscrew the tube. They are very quiet, the barrel is slightly bigger, a couple of inches. The tube and fittings are made of strong ABS plastic. I was slightly wary about this, but they are so thick. The threads are long, we have been using these five guns for three weeks now, everyday & they have been superb.
For Β£42 they are an absolute steal. I purchased all of the sellers guns that he had from the person I purchased from, but in the link below is a different seller. Same gun. The batteries are very standard. You can get replacements on Amazon for Β£20 odd. If you have an orange gun, your battery will fit if it's not one of the very first ones.

After the first batch they had in mid winter... One of the owners of Johnson Ross, who I've never met personally, or any of their staff, told me that they had never seen anything like it before. Not with any product, not ever. Customer after customer who purchased them, coming back to the shop and telling them they had either caught a PB, or had the most crazy results since they first used them.
An endless stream of anglers gobsmacked after using them for the first time. It makes me super proud, it is very humbling indeed.

Goodness me Mark, I'm not wasting one of my hookbaits in a bit of water that's got no fish in it ππ.

Itβs so funny. I was in Johnson Ross the other day talking about your hookbaits.
I said to one of the staff members that I rarely cast out without a Specialized Hookbait on the end. But I said, βthey are not magic beansβ.
The staff member replied that they adamantly disagreed and that the hookbaits had transformed their fishing.
They had of course sold out of everything Specialized!!!!
Best hookbaits Iβve ever used in 40+yrs and Iβd really love to say I can make better - but unfortunately not!

This is the best compliment that we ever get. It was happening in the other thread running in the bait section too...
Carp anglers worried that they will lose the special edge that they found. π
It's been happening ever since we first started. I am a carp angler, so I understand perfectly. Customers who have experienced great times with our hook baits, would prefer that everyone else does not find out. There were many anglers who never wanted any of you to find out either. Originally, I did not want all of them to find out either π
Stop worrying. The S2 has been doing what it has done for 20 years now. The Garlics have been doing the same for getting on a decade. There are so many variants now that all spark in different ways.
Nothing has changed regarding the stuff going into the shops. The stuff sells on results. There is only one way to make the stuff, nothing changes. It just got bigger to the point that it was impossible for me to keep dealing with the public via the website as well as the new shop punters. The goal has always been to get them into anglers hands, because then anglers find out for themselves, just by using them... Like you did. That's a customer forever when an angler discovers what happens for himself out fishing on the bank. The shops do that perfectly. An angler can look at them on the shelf next to everything else. That has instantly taken a lot of pressure off of me, which allows us to produce more hook baits ultimately.
I've lost count how many times I've said to WhatsApp message us if there is anything you need that the shops do not have (or if you need that under the counter feel). We are rolling Tutti-S2, Curry-S2 & Curry-GPB2 this week. All will be in the shops within a couple of weeks. Next week we are rolling DNA Bug, Chocolate-S2, Cinnamon-S2, Hutchie-S2. All will be in the shops within a couple of weeks.
I have so many photos to post on here when I get a chance.

How have you not had one in a bucket yet David? π
They will be fine how I told you. Size 6 & a size 12 ring swivel on the Chod/SHR.
It's very easy to get them to hold up any size hook forever. I used to use the little squares of high density foam that come inside a box of hooks, but any sliver of foam will do. Cut some thin little discs. When you pierce the pop up or tie on with floss, or insert your bait screw (more weight)... Add a small sliver of foam to the tag ends of the floss before you tie onto the rig ring. Or screw it onto the bait screw. Then put the bait on. The bait will completely cover the sliver of foam. Tgis can then be trimmed to whatever.
I used to like doing this when single hook bait fishing. One because I wanted a small hook bait with a big hook. But also because it adds a couple of mm to the gap between the hook and the hook bait, which helps massively with hooking, similar to a real hair rig. You can't see it whatsoever in the water as it is under the bait. Keep the slivers of foam in a tub with some honey or some glug of some description, the foam soaks it up.
