Just watched it and your not mistaken - its the Extricators he's using. Good to see them in action. Seems to be a very nice bend in them rods.

Need to watch that film. Loved my 'guest sessions' on there when I lived in the area. Wish I'd lived local as would definitely look to sign up

Having just watched the new sticky baits nick helleur film, it appears he uses the 10ft wychwood rods for most of his fishing on Virginia Water

I bought a set last year with the idea of using them whilst saving to get my free spirit 10 ft rebuilt, absolutely love them and havenít even thought about getting them done yet, punchy action and lovely to play fish on, Iíve got black emblems on mine they are the perfect match.

Thanks guys. From what you both say they appear to be quite nice rods at a reasonable price so I will definitely be getting a set of these in the near future. I'm not too sold on the PU handle, so it will be corks for me.

My go to rods, 10ft, 40mm minima butt ring, got the cork versions and recently picked up the rubber/duplon versions as well. They bend lovely and have a very punchy casting action. Currently use them when fishing up to about 80yds using 3oz leads without a problem. Very light and thin blanks and use with the old skool daiwa emblem reels and feel perfectly balanced.

Can't seem to find any info regarding the size of butt ring on these rods. Hopefully no bigger than 40 mm.

Also - would like to hear from anyone using these rods.Would they be capable of casting small solid bags with 3 oz leads around up to say 60-70 yards or would I be better of looking towards slightly heavier test curve rods?
