Maybe that was my issue someone told me .6 crimps I crimped one side and tied a figure of 8 in the other side and the krimp side broke every time under fairly light pressure. I order xt snag leader to try I’m not really impressed with trick link especially how it knots.

Been crimping the 25 trick link with the Korda Xs crimps and had no issues at all....

No one has said that, the op just wanted to know the length it was being fished at with that specific material.

Simply It gets online views. Angler Tom using a D rig with a bottom bait. He is confident in it.
Nothing new in carp fishing.

Put it in warm not hot water for 5 minutes before tying a rig, its like a little baby. Dip the knots in cold water once tied 👍

Who's Tom Stokes? How come a rig that was knocking about years back has him down as the inventor?

Don't know if it's the same, but:-
YouTube

Edit:- He doesn't tie it just shows the Rig to an extent.
But it's just a standard D-Rig tied with XT Snag Leader.

It’s supple and knots really nice - I find the tricklink hard to work with shame. I’ve got some think link on order in 25lb as well heard good things about it .

I’ve also started using trick link and have problems get knots neat, Gardner said it was crimpable but I’ve tried and it breaks far too easy right at the crimp. Is the xt snag leader about the same stiffness as 25lb trick link?

It’s a lovely material - I’ve been trying to tie d-rigs with the tricklink - the zt leader knots a lot neater.

On the Tom Stokes Gigantica video he's using them at 5 inch.

Personally 5 to 12 inch on a helicopter would be spot on, dont think its an exact science, hes using them short as fishing over a tightly spodded area.

Tom Stokes did an old video in Cypography where he shows his XT snag leader simple d rig.

I haven't got Cypography anymore as had problems cancelling the subscription and I've just seen a few clips online, does he mention how long he fishes the rig please?

Or has he mentioned it anywhere else?
