Letters will be a thing of the past in ten years. It costs companies etc to send a letter to you so they will all go to email, most institutions are moving that way.
Most of what our postie puts through the door is flyers for shops etc all crap and a complete waste of a good tree.

Lol that's a bit of a generalization manufacturing has many facets it's like saying well you're an engineer you can fix my Telly.
I'm talking about the manufacturing of goods that contain electronics being I work in the the industry it's not hard for me to understand but for you ..... clearly the details is something you find hard to grasp....
And do you know exactly who manufactures nearly 70% of the world's semiconductors?
Where the raw materials for the substrates the lead frames and were they do the testing once packaged ?
If I was your employer I'd be asking for that pay rise they gave you back....

To all you people who are against the strikes, Royal Mail or otherwise.....
Bear in mind your are supporting a society of (what will end up with) immigration workers on \ off (that is short contracts), till the next poor guy (from overseas) comes along.
The only ones who win are the CEO's at the top. The actual service will go downhill, and the poor, born and bred UK white guy will be the worst hit. :(
And as for the NHS....
The current government are pouring trillions into the Ukraine, yet they're not prepared to give the NHS the extreme small percentage (in comparison) .
When you consider some people are waiting hours for an ambulance, that's disproportion.
