I have used my gun several times now and the battery is still fully charged. Best things ever.
Did someone mention about oiling an internal part to help it live longer???

I could not find this thread yesterday Baitman (lazy). The lithium battery on our original unit has not deteriorated at all. It's been used seven days a week pretty much, often for very long hours every single day for three years now. It's been charged many hundreds of times over and over again. It's still spot on with no noticeable deterioration. I posted this on the bait thread yesterday below. I keep stocking up, they are that good. You lot could never mess that battery up in your lifetime if you look after it.
I picked up yet another one on Prime day. It was a spur of the moment thing late at night. Cheapest on Amazon now is £160. On Prime day I got another one for £133 I think it was with a voucher. With two batteries I thought that was more than reasonable. It's black Friday soon, they will be cheaper again.
Coming all way from China now too. All of them on Amazon are.

Good find. With one battery that's still at least a good score cheaper. (Your link does not work I copy & pasted item number). I should have looked on eBay again first. As I said it was an impulse thing when I saw them cheaper on Prime day. They are all exactly the same colour. It's just dodgy lighting on the different photos. All that has changed is the cosmetics on the battery and the name stamped on it.
Never oiled our units mate. The one in the first post is three years old and has been used so much it's unreal. It's still working like new. Unit and battery. Zero added oil.
I probably have more stored units than that eBay seller now though to be fair. Only two units have been taken out of the box. The extra tubes are very handy for us running different mixes and different colours. We have a tube for each now.

I saw recently someone on a different thread say they managed to destroy theirs. Some simple do's and don'ts to make your gun last forever.
The mixes we put through this gun, are far far stiffer than any base mix you are ever going to put through it. Our mixes are extremely high fat, with added cork which is far more solid/stiff than any freezer bait base mix. It will handle any mix you want to throw at it all day everyday. It is far more robust than the very most expensive £360 Cox lithium bait guns on the market. They are so robust, if you put your old Gardner/Cox plastic collars on, they will literally blow them to bits. The plastic collars are not meant for the pressure this gun will exert. They are miles better than the Cox. Substantially better than my old Makita. But they cost buttons.
BUT, the motor ain't geared for running stiff base mixes. They are made for running caulk. If you want to roll anything stiff under 14mm, you need to use a multi nozzle to relieve pressure. If you try to run anything stiff through a single nozzle under 14mm, you will actually hear the motor struggling a little bit. 14mm & above a single nozzle is fine. 12mm & below use a multi nozzle to relieve some pressure.
Don't let your lithium battery run completely out. As soon as the 2nd of 3 lights goes out on the meter, recharge it. It's not a cell battery. Think of it more like the battery on your smartphone.
Do those two simple things and these guns will literally last forever. They are nothing short of incredible for the task in hand.

Depends how stiff the mix and how small the nozzle. All makes a difference. Gunning 16mm with a normal basemix you should be getting 80-90 tube fulls from the battery. That's a lot of bait. It only takes 15-20 mins to charge from near empty to full.

The current range of battery powered caulk guns on eBay are selling without the tube where the basement would be added.
Is it safe to assume these are standard sizes and the ones available in B&Q or even the ones Gardner sell will fit?
The guns previously recommended on here are now unavailable

No mate, they are different lengths and shorter.
I have numerous orange chinese guns with the barrels, all look the same, but even they have a barrel an inch or two different.
Here's where I got my last two from Amazon when they all sold out. Just spares. More expensive at £165 and you have to wait a month from China. But you get two batteries and a snazzy case it comes in. And it's Amazon so you are well covered.
