Russ was one of the first along with FishOn Ricci to receive the ScopexPineapple S2 from us. He's an electrician with a very young family who gets to fish often just one day a week. He used to be the Saturday boy in the TackleBox as a lad.
The results gained from this syndicate below, in the time frame of the captures led to him actually being accused of using hormones, so out of the ordinary were his results for that lake. Some of these fish he actually caught twice.
All ScopexPineapple S2, fished as either singles, or with Essential B5 or Kraken. There's some incredibly special big carp there. Herds of them.

Anyone know if any of the baits are harder than the others? Want some to use on a lake with Crays in a couple of months but don't believe they do hard hookers as such.
Have some bug and banoffee s2 which are pretty soft out the tub and very soft after a day in a lake, hutchy s2 and gpb2 are a bit firmer (all the ones I have are corks)

You can make them as hard as you want them Reuben, just by drying them out further yourself. We have to supply them how the customer want them, which involves them having to be pierced. So we cannot dry them out & make them like bullets, but you can very simply. Just put them onto a plate and keep them on the side for a week. They will dry out like bullets, to the point where you will need to drill them. But they will lose all smell to your nose (this does not matter) but carp anglers will complain either way. So we have to supply them in the way that suits the majority. This is one of the problems with supplying to the public on a grand scale.
The problem is, the hook baits are super soluble & don't just attract fish.... They attract EVERYTHING that requires food to survive. They work on real food signals. So cray's find them super attractive. You cannot make something that is SUPER attractive to one living being underwater, that is not attractive to everything else as well.
You would be far better off using cheaper cardboard/airball type pop ups that have very little if any real food value. Just a chemical smell. These are still attractive to cray's to a point, but no where near as attractive to a cray as our hook baits are. Which they will single out before everything else. In exactly the same way as the carp, or the bream, or the tench will. That, or get yourself some Korda super wrap for our hook baits and double wrap them from both sides, so everything is covered. They have holes to allow the bait to still pump out. I have done this very successfully on the Thames with both cray's & Chinese mitten crabs.
On any lake that contains cray's, they will ONLY be in your swim when the carp are not there. When the carp are there, you will get zero problems from cray's. The carp eat the cray's & the cray's are petrified of them for that exact reason. If you get cray'd, you should not be looking to beat the cray's, you should be looking to move, the carp are simply not there. You can use this massively to your advantage. Get cray'd, move. When you find where the carp are, the cray's will all be down inside their burrows. Hiding.

As for the paste mate. It might well come in the future. For the moment it's a no though. I am very careful not to allow product out the door that would give away our secrets when tested. I made that mistake with the coated hook baits previously. They can, and have had the hook baits tested. The problem for them is, they don't know what they are looking for. Once they have been through our curing process, the sum of the parts changes. It's far better for me to keep that this way. Rather than make a few more quid selling paste & liquids.... Before they have been put through our process. I have to be super careful. When i used to shout my mouth off on the RMC/Cemex forum I spoke far to much. Luckily that stuff is all LONG since gone.
I made comments once upon a time on there about there being five 'Keys' to carp bait. 'Keys' that unlock certain things. One bait firm had a tub of our coated S1 on the bosses desk for a year asking how it was done. Employees openly told me. Later a very expensive coated boillie was produced. It was named what i just mentioned. Launched with a doctor behind it. Not the bait making legend that produced their bait. I will ALWAYS respect that man for that. A true icon of carp bait. Someone who never needed to copy anyone else for a quick buck. The people behind the companies do not hold that same ethos. They would have you over as fast as look at you. They have a long history of it. Then add onto that the influencers who got their hands on our stuff, and denounced it publicly as stinking of cheap glycerine & nothing more. Five minutes later they are making articles telling their followers to preserve their bait with glycerine & basking in that glory. That's how the carp game works. Fellas looking for fame or to keep a cushy thing going will always try to bring you down, while at the same time taking any little thing that they can take, and publicly claiming it as their own. That's carp fishing unfortunately. But all this means I have to be very careful indeed. Very careful indeed. It's always worked so far. No one knows the secrets as to why the hook baits out fish everything else. I have to keep it that way. While anyone who has a finger in the bait game pie needs to de-cry me as nothing more than a salesman. I'm not a salesman at all. I'm a REAL carp angler. I have something real. Real anglers find that out.
It's a harsh old world out there. If you put your head up above the parapet and you do have something REAL. There will be so many who try to take that from you. There will be many who try to destroy that. That's just life unfortunately Jamie & it comes with the territory. It always has. It always will. Everyone who has a vested interest in making money from carp bait watches. For bloody good reason too. It's all very positive really. But you have to take the bad with the good.
I'm incredibly lucky. I will ALWAYS be grateful to carp fishing in general for that. But it's also a very savage & underhand world. I understand that better than anyone now.
