Who to blame for inability to write a sentence in English? Straight out of a Russian social media account to be liked and shared by ****s.

I hear they're even teaching kids Arabic numbers these days ... Better put that on your list.

Why not just print the fact yourself to disprove it mal, as you clearly think you know otherwise. Easiest way to clear it up is to prove it wrong rather than ignore it, no?

ok

'Now all UK schools are ONLY serving HALAL MEAT !'

Not true - I work in a school and the statement above is a lie. Even if it was true, what's the issue? Catering for all children? Bloody hell let's get the walls up now. I do think it's policy for all schools to provide a vegetarian option however - should we be worried about the Buddhist invasion too?

And I didn't ignore it - I called it out.

now is it ok to get rid of the racist sh*te?

That's one point mal, fair play on that. That was one thing I didn't think could be true, it's not a pleaeent method so it shouldn't be used. But as you say in the other thread, tackle stuff head on rather than ignore it. Rather than ignore it, disprove it, that way you will make people understand that it is nonsense (if it is of course).

Mal I really don't get you. The other thread you say don't ignore things as you are accepting them, now you are saying ignore this as its just racist nonsense without actually disproving it. Somewhat hypocritical chap. If its unproven then you should have no problem showing that! Doesn't make a jot of difference to me either way but it doesn't exactly make your message of anti racism very clear. It just seems that your opinion is that anyone who doesn't agree with you, or questions you is wrong, and that's pretty arrogant

Fair play, although I'd question the "no go areas" bit. I can assure you that there are parts of Luton for instance that if you are white then you WILL be in trouble, that's guaranteed. Definitely no go areas. I'm sure there are others around the country, as I'm sure that there are areas that if you aren't white you will get that too. A lot seem to think that racism is a one way thing when in my own personal experience it really isn't. I've 100% witnessed more racism towards white people than by them

I didn't ignore it - I called it out for being factually inaccurate AND racist in my very first post (which as I also pointed out in the other thread was after about 30 views from others who DID ignore it)

and I'm not telling anyone else to ignore it - I'm asking that it is dealt with and I'm suggesting that people check their facts before posting them.

so - not hypocritical at all. and as any of the lads on here know when it comes to disagreeing over things, I tend towards discussion rather than arrogance. Although I am always right (sarcasm smiley needed)

you say it doesn't make a jot of difference to you either way and also say 'if it's true then we should be worried'... can't be both - that's not making your message very clear is it?

I don't think there's any confusion over my stance on racism. Perhaps I need to be more forceful in my opinions? (that's another where we need the sarcasm smiley)

anyhoo - nineosix has posted the link that disproves it.

It's a beautiful rainy, windy, Summers day outside and as I can't have anyone come round I'm off to the car wash.

I would have thought the majority of people who eat an Indian meal from either a restaurant or a takeaway would be eating Halal meat unless they are not aware? the two regular ones I use serve Halal, I guess most?

I posted a while ago that there were a bunch of morons protesting outside a local KFC because they were serving Halal meat too

I'm not sure what the concerns are whether its because Muslims eat it or the cruelty aspect. If it was the latter I would have thought the government would have stepped in?

Not so sure about that f I'm honest. In this country we do usually have good ethics. It does make me wonder though because I've seen quite a bit of stuff on slaughter houses and humane methods so whether they are anaesthetised prior to been slit and bleed, who knows?

Of course your likes of Muslim run kebab shop/Indians will only use halal meat.

I'm not really sure what to make of your comment, I work in the Middle East and have no choice on my food but I dont eat meat when I'm away because I don't believe in the suffering and the cruelty involved with a halal slaughter, some of my closest workmates are “proper' Muslims and I couldn't ask for a better crew.

I don't believe in the suffering and the cruelty involved with a halal slaughter

That's my point, there must be reasons people don't not like the idea of Halal meat. I would have thought that Halal meat produced in this country, the animals would have to be humanly dealt with prior to throat slitting. Otherwise I would have thought the animal rights brigade would be all over it regardless what is said below. I don't believe our government would support it for starters in a world of politically correctness

Decided to have a read:

RSPCA

Religious slaughter
In the UK, 58 percent of Halal meat comes from animals which have been stunned before slaughter and certified Halal.

All animals slaughtered under the Shechita (for Kosher) are non-stunned.

GOVUK

You must stun all animals before you slaughter them unless an animal is being religiously slaughtered for halal or kosher meat.

You must meet all of the following requirements for halal and kosher religious slaughter:

it must take place in a slaughterhouse (abattoir) approved by the Food Standards Agency (FSA)
it must be done by someone who has a certificate of competence (CoC)
the slaughter must be done in a way that follows Jewish or Islamic religious practice
the meat must be intended for consumption by Jews or Muslims
You can only carry out religious slaughter of:

cattle (and all bovine animals, including calves)
sheep
goats
birds (chickens, turkeys, ducks, guinea fowl, geese or quails)

Guess I was wrong, surprised me that TBH

Not getting on a hippy high horse, but to say I won't eat halal because of animal cruelty and then still eat the chicken is shaky ground.

Not having a dig at anyone or suggesting we all go veggie. Just making discussion....

Honestly I don't like it as a process. And I also don't like battery farming, mass farming of lambs, cattle, pigs and such with artificial / force feeding etc. either... it would be hypocritical to condemn just halal and turn a blind eye to the other stuff - unless it's not the animal issue that offends with halal like our friendly bnp protesters. Then it's just an excuse for a bit of racism....

I've massively cut down on my meat intake (add your innuendo based joke here) in recent years for a few reasons. Animal treatment and environmental issues being a couple of them.

I'll always try to source meat from ethical buyers, line caught fish etc.

Back to my horse now before tesco chop it up for burgers....

What's wrong with you

That's never right, a blend of several birds livers, with a nice Chianti too?

Oh , i salivate just thinking about it , i had an embarrassing episode once in a french restaurant when they gave me a humongous wedge as it was nearly out of date , in my local village , bit of a treat , i can recommend it as an effective laxative !

Another disgusting process, force feeding until the liver is so fatty. Wrong, plain wrong

That's something I've never been bothered about, posh potted meat

I can handle a bit under a nice steak Rossini now and again but other than that, forced fed ducks liver is a no for me. Watched a program about it, force feed them maize with funnels lol, cruel *******s the French, saying that they eat frogs legs, horses and all kinds of **** so it shouldn't come as a surprise

Haha!
As far as I'm aware that's the only way you can buy them. Waste of time really if you can't get the actual taste of the snail, I'd imagine it would be like a whelk?
