I hear that JW Young has gone in with Roger Surgay, from Dragon carp fame, and Mill tackle has moved to carry on ,separate

Be quick ,get the proper stuff before it's all egg fried rice !!!!,made in China .

It's a shame but according to Young's it was either that or go under so I suppose they had no choice.

Because quality pins last more than one lifetime the market for new expensive reels must be pretty small, so it's no surprise they're taking this route.

Glad i bought all the J W Young & Arnold Kingpin centrepins i will ever need over 10 years ago. The appeal for me was British made products to last a lifetime, also the Arnolds were made down the road from me in Wimborne Dorset.

Sad to hear 😢 but at least they'll carry on...for now.
Had my eye on one for at least a decade, prices have slowly been going up, almost bought one but thought it's a bit expensive to gather dust so bought a Okuma Sheffield. Maybe I should reconsider, I can imagine they'll become a pre dragon collectable, bit like French Mitchells 🤔
