Got a wifi extender from baitboat mods (no longer trading) does anyone know if I can pair it to my deeper quest boat and if so how 🤔?
Quite possibly ?do you have the instructions

I had one previously - the BBM unit needs to be paired with the specific Deeper with a code from the Deeper unit itself - from vague memory I think this needed to be supplied prior to purchase and it was set up at source . . .I'll have a dig through my old emails and see if I have any instruction correspondence etc that might help . . .

Def looks familiar . . .simply follow the instructions! Like all range extenders the extender needs to talk to the Deeper unit itself first - then when your device 'finds' both the extender & deeper unit (they should both appear on wi-fi selection menu) ensure you select the Extender and not the Deeper . . .still not sure however whether the first part was done by BBM and that the Deeper code is specific to your Deeper (ie. not necessarily Chirp+9226) . . .

Sorry, cut this off when posting the picture. You are correct. Hence why I couldn't connect to the boat. Anyone know how to change this?

. . .Bum - thought I was right - this is therefore a pain! I sold mine with the Deeper it was connected to . . .with sadness I think the chap from BBM passed (apols to him/his family if he didn't). Maybe contact some knowledgeable types who may be happy to fiddle with his kit - Joe at Baitboat Solutions / Nathun at Southwest Bait Boats / Leigh Stuart Day at Southeast Bait boats etc - problem is it may end up as expensive to sort it as simply buying an official Deeper Range extender - they are really simple to use and should be able to 'find' your Deeper unit with zero issues . . .a couple on FBM for £70/80. You could use your BBM as an additional power pack - think they're 5000mah from memory . . .?

Matt at Fisheye (if they're still about) might be able to help you. He made my Deeper range extender before they brought their own out.
There's also a how to guide on the forum somewhere from guys who made their own extenders, I made one too though quickly got Matt to make a smaller one. It may be before the forum reboot though so may not be on the forum anymore, worth a search 👍
