Has anyone else had issues with AD?

Long story short, I ordered the Nash Outboard from their website on 15/09. Normally I avoid AD like the plague, but I had a few birthday vouchers to use.

After five working days, I still hadn't received any dispatch confirmation, so I emailed their support team but got no response. I also tried calling customer services and sat on hold for almost an hour, only to be cut off when I finally reached number two in the queue.

When I eventually got through to someone, I was told the item had already been dispatched. Shortly afterwards, Angling Direct updated my order status to "Complete", but they still couldn't provide any tracking details for the DX courier.

I've now managed to secure a refund, although that's going to take another five working days to process.

Has anyone else experienced similar issues with them recently? I'm amazed how poor their customer service is. It would be interesting to hear if its a common thing or just a one off.

On balance I've found them very good, but did once have the same problems you've had, that was over a year ago now, maybe more.
The customer service main phone is rubbish.

EDIT, I did once have a issue with a Shimano Stradic reel not sounding right on delivery. They asked for a video and on seeing it, paid for it to be sent back and I had a replacement within the week.

Getting a refund was probably a much better result than you can imagine as any after sales service and guarantee issues would probably be worthless as nash as are in dire financial straights ☠️

Ordered a rucksack and it never turned up. After about 5 days after the advised delivery date I phoned up and waited for at least 30 minutes before finally talking to a nice lady in Bangalore. It was resolved but wasn't over impressed with their service although they did say it was probably a courier error as it wasn't scanned out.

I can only speak as to my experience with them and tbh they've always been great with me. Only real problem I've had I once ordered a pair of rods to only receive one. Phoned customer service explained what had happened sent a pic of the packing and the second rod was with he a couple of days later.

I wouldn’t say Nash was in trouble with this turn over.
The drop in revenue for 2025 was because they stopped selling bait.

• 2025: £11.18 million (specifically £11,181,736)
• 2024: £14.46 million (specifically £14,464,148)
Are you sure?
