Any recommendations for decent rig tying books about? I’ve got the “Ultimate Rig Guide” from Carpology, but I’m after something with a bit more focus on fishing straight bottom baits, so maybe something a bit older will be more suitable, as most of today’s popular rigs seem to be directed towards pop up or wafter fishing.

Check out the Katran / Luke Shephard guides on FB . . .Lukes rigs are really easy to follow / an easy watch . . .

As for bottom bait rigs I've gone full circle and have been using my og version all season - have reverted to ye olde TH flipper rig (tungsten coated braid / knotless knot / small kicker / float stop behind hookbait to secure on long hair trapped right over bend with silicone). . .no QC hook changes and take a while to construct but still works!

What about the old Korda tackle rig book from the early 90's Probably be able to pick one up on Ebay.

Some great rig minds in there. And maybe some not so great. Makes you wonder ifsome of these rigs have ever seen the bank 😉
