I always used to use pedigree mixers for my surface fishing. Having looked to restock recently, I can’t find the basic mixers in any supermarkets or pet shops. Presumably they have stopped production.
What are people using as an alternative?

I was the same gutted they stopped chum mixers. I got a bag from Tesco last year which were fairly similar but got a bag earlier this year and they've changed..now flatter and smaller and can't catapult more than 20 yards.

I've been using the aller aqua bona floating pellets in 11mm - £36 for 20kg posted online.
First time not using standard mixers this year too - these as substitute have been fine, more fiddly to buy rather than nip into the supermarket but they arrive fairly quickly
Can't say they are any better or worse! Liked by both fish and birdlife unfortunatley
More a pellet shape so a bit better than the flat disk shapes all the new dog biscuits are

Most of the big chain pet shops, " Pets at home" etc. Do a basic dog mixer. Fiver for about 4kg. I wouldn't use them as hookbaits as they will turn to mush within 20 minutes. But as loose feed they are all you need.

I'm not really a fan of floaters all being the same. I normally use Tesco Complete Dry dog food, pick the mixers out for hook baits and sometimes the larger red ones when I want to get further, but you will be restricted with how far they catapult and accuracy if important.
Last and this year I've been trying Parker Baits flat spot floaters, crab flavour, crikey they hum but the fish seem to like them, perfect size mixer. I'm guessing they're rebagged & oversprayed standard floating pellets from one of the big manufacturers.

Pets at home do 20 kilo bags of mixers .. look on line ..
A lot of the big Supermarkets do a dog mixer. Well they say they do online. You try finding them in store. Plenty of other dry dog food in store. But at a price..
Thanks all. Picked up some Tesco mixers. Turns out they are much smaller than the original pedigree mixers and also don’t really float. The search continues!
