I have some Daiwa lightweight chest waders I use very occasionally when I need to wade out to cast.
For netting fish I've always just yanked my trousers off and gone in but I'm getting a bit old for that now, and it isn't really fair on anyone who has to see it.
So I need waders that I can quickly slip into when playing a fish for netting and the odd cast. I prefer lightweight gear, but I don't want to risk bumped fish so being able to easily step into them and pull them up is the priority here.
Vass seem to be the most popular choice but I'm confused about all the different options.
Can anyone tell me which would be best? Happy to look at other brands.

I would say for ease get the lighter weight material. The heavier you get the more stiff they become. I've just been out with my old work ones which are thicker and highly annoying to get on whilst playing a fish.
My lighter ones have given up the ghost after many repairs over the decade I've had them!

Have a look at the Trakker N2 chest waders.
Not a bad price, about £70.
Lightest waders I could find - 2.3kg.
The nylon material is lightweight so really easy to roll down and pull up.
They also roll up in to a compact size for transporting.

They ain't cheap but you get what you pay for and all that, I can honestly say the best bit of kit I've bought in years are the Fortis Waders. They are breathable which makes a massive difference and the boots sit open when rolled down so are easy to get into. Mind you I only thought they were expensive until I saw the price of the Vass breathable ones and realised they are a bargain

These are a good option from Trakker and a very good price. Although they are a bit narrow compared to a pair of Pros waders. The Trakker option meets the lightweight requirement but if you want to pull them on in a hurry, you might struggle with the narrow fit.

I had the TRAKKER chest waders didn't rate them Im pretty slim but they are to narrow at the top,I now have the Cult tackle waders in the XL size that's not the boot size but enlarged chest dimensions there larger at the top compared to there normal chest waders I think there spot on so much easier to pull up in a hurry

Can't go wrong with these. Highly recommended by me for what it's worth. I have a slightly earlier model. But these are basically the same. EVA Boots, breathable. These one come with a flap which keeps the rain out if you've got them down by your rods ready to jump into. Shorter boot makes them easier to step into.

I've got the new version and was about to also recommend them. Was torn which to get per the op as plenty of options but very happy with my choice
