Been using an ESP bits bag for years the plastic wallets are very tired , time to retire it
Of the following what are people's experiences good and bad

Korda
Fox
Korum
Advanta
Or please suggest one I may have missed

Are the extra free bits n pieces that come with some, useful or not ?

I moved to a few smaller bags/pouches now and find it much better than one big thing, easier to pack away and prevent taking too much. If you aren't too fussed about brand you can get yourself sorted based on what you need pretty easily.

Here's how I'm sorted -
Trakker medium pouch (£13) all my rig gear and stuff I need quickly to hand
JAG pouch (free) - reading and polarised glasses and cutlery
Trakker lead pouch (£8) - leads
Jag subsurface pot pouch (free) - large Jag pot came in and it holds my aeropress and stove perfectly.
Korda 140 (£14) - spares, bits and pieces, lives in the car boot
TA/Korda rig case (£8 s/h) - one of the original long ones holds loads of rigs + a few little

Now I've typed that out, I think that's too much so might need to try and trim it down 😂😂

I was looking at tackle boxes the other day and was almost tempted as the new Korda ones are more compact than my original Fox boxes and beautifully designed with all their micro compartments. . . but then I remembered what an actual faff they are - much easier to keep the terminal bits you actually need/use in their original packaging IMO (other than needles/scissors etc) . . .

All my session terminal tackle sits in a Trakker Bucket insert in a 17l bucket . . .rig safe / leads / hookbaits / cattys / PVA all sit in the rest of the bucket - job done. Any excess duplicate stuff stays in a large compac in the car boot . . .

Rollox to trimming down, you never know when you'll need the kitchen sink
I have no faith in the modern boxes with incorporated lids, give me separate bits boxes, so if the lid goes I can just replace the bits box, not the tackle box. For me its the older style Fox box, oh...and a Trakker Lead pouch for bigger items.

Yep I carry plenty of them
Keep buying and breaking the zig floats I intend to use more often But don't
Plus plenty of other bits that just go for the journey 😵‍💫

Solar do a decent but not inexpensive option, well thought out, plenty of space / divider etc. Picked one up last summer which replaced a korda plastic case, seems to be pretty good so far.. As mentioned, around £55 it's not cheap..

So long, in half the cases I've forgotten what they're for but when I'm getting bored (often nowadays) and start rummaging, it keeps my mind alert.
