With winter fast approaching it was well overdue to fabsil the bivvy once more.
I usually use a 2" brush but this time I used a spare spray bottle and a small sponge and it was much easier.
I have already swapped to the winter sleeping bag...
What else do you do.

Refresh all batteries whether they need it or not.
Nothing worse than waking up to dead batteries.
Stock the storage box in van with an extra gas canister. And add a couple of mars bars or similar and a change of clothes just in case.

Make sure there's some Kendal mint cake in the food bag, recharge batteries and extra water always for more hot drinks and hot water bottles! The winter clothing finds its way into the van so I always have it too. Salopettes, layers, etc. always extra socks as a quick change can really help warm you up.
Apart from switching sleeping bags to my "Arctic Bag" I swap my bivvy mat in the bivvy doorway to a piece of "cushioned vinyl".
I find this easier to keep clean as I can give it a quick wash and wipe down with a sponge in pond if it gets too muddy and just prop it up on side of bivvy for water to run off and to dry in Sun, if there is any.
I also like a piece of white vinyl as this brightens up the inside of the bivvy on these dark days with light reflected upwards from the doorway especially if your using an overwrap and an old Armadillo. Its surprising how bright it makes the inside of a bivvy and often wish groundsheets were white. Also, it makes it easier to find things in the dark without using a torch if you place them on top of the white vinyl, like your shoes, radio or even your torch etc.
But usually I also take my bivvy matt as well for when I am just sitting around inside as its a bit warmer on the feet when I don't have my shoes on and put it under the vinyl when I'm done with it.
If you cannot get a piece of Vinyl, then a rubber car mat does just as well and is just as useful for kneeling on outside the bivvy as it is a bit harder wearing than Vinyl especially on a high bank and your launching the "Baitboat" etc

I have just been having a bit of a sort out.
I gave the pva bag mix a fresh glug of my hydro mix, with fish sauce with added powders (pdfm, LT, etc) to freshen up the mix.
Tidied the tackle tray in the bucket, its such a useful thing!
Also been sharpening a new batch of hooks so there is less faff when its damp and cold on the bank.

Concrete owl looks cool, I bet that takes up quite a bit of room in the carryall, hope it's had a spray
