As the conditions are turning more on the wintry side can anyone recommend any decent winter gloves that will help me with raynaud's disease that I suffer with in my fingers.

Sealskinz any good ??

Don't waste your money on sealskinz or any company who rebrands them.

They are not waterproof or keep your hands warm and the fabric eventually rots

Look at the mountain brands for summit gloves or mits from brands such as Montane, Rab or North Face.

The breathable the better otherwise the sweat will make your hands wet and cold from the inside

I'd use some tight(ish) full finger synthetic gloves (eg Trakker Thermal Stretch for casting etc) and then invest in non-carpy brand mittens (eg Montane Anti Freeze) over the top as they are by far the warmest for the elongated periods of nothing in between

Never rated sealskin either. Ive always used hestra, mountain equipment or montane gloves. I ski every year and hestra cant be beaten and are regarded as the best gloves you can get.

For sitting around in whilst in the Bivvy, and doing major tasks like loading the car up and pushing a barrow about or walking to the swim etc, I can well recommend Army surplus ECW mitts. I have two pairs of them, they have a thin waterproof windproof shell outer and a removable liner like felt which is extremely warm and they go halfway up to my elbow. You can also just wear normal gloves inside the outer which makes them a bit more useful if your playing a fish as you can just pull the outer off and leave your normal gloves on

For warmth mittens are by far the best. Personally I have a cheapish set of ski gloves for grubbing around with bank sticks and pegs and a pair of Hestra pull over mittens. These allow you to expose finger tips to work on rigs etc but with the pull over mitten you get warmth but lack dexterity.
Of all the brands out there Hestra are as far as I'm concerned superior.

Honestly - the best gloves are actually over-mittens - I have some Calloway ones (yeah - I play golf too) - you can probably get away with cheaper (unbranded) ones, but these were bought for me as a present and are also waterproof - but the trick is to combine them with hand warmers. They stay warm all day with a set of hand warmers and easy to slip on and off when you need them
