I haven't wet a line now since 2021 - when it was, what turned out to be (ironically?) a session of a lifetime as well, so I don't no what went wrong
Anyway, work (newish job), travel/commute and life got in the way I haven't been out...

most recently nash have stopped making bait, jim shelley has been through 10 bait company's,collaborated with cypography and fell out with cypography.
short rods are all the rage and most manufacturers are now.doing them.
hamidi has left korda and now set up his own company propped up by his very own sugar daddy, hes now releasing all kinds of chinese tat with **** names aswell as an item that hamidi was balling his eyes out over which turned out to be a death rig ...then hamidi went to great measures to try and prove it was safe but then he released a mk2 version because the mk1 was safe !!! but the mk2 version is still unsafe and banned by all but the daftest of fishery owners.
we had hormone gate where a few known anglers were accused of cheating in matches with hormones only available to the vetinary world....this caused all kinds of trouble and law suits were threatened a plenty and retracted accusations were in abundance. then after a prolonged period of meetings and stories being aligned it turns out that the hormones were just infact chopped worms that sent the carp onto a feeding frenzy.
The carp cast has made several come backs, with jamie clossick new business ventures usually being the reason of the carp cast comeback....most main manufacturers now do a podcast.
tackle competitions are all the rage and every man and their dog are trying to get you to buy a25p ticket to be in with a chance of winning all kinds of tackle and even a vans...they're cashing in big time and theres only 1 winner, ill let you work out who that is.
every man and his dog are now tik tok famous, all doing lives and begging for gifts or sucking up to tackle company's to be the next carl and alex...theyre all super cri gy promoting positivity and niceness to each other just to extort gifts off you during their lives.

Not much mate, still gotta find um and you can still catch on boilies.
As a warning however... Noddies are at a whole other level now, bait boats that find the fish and remember where they are and drones are used to make sure they can punish the carp where ever they are.
Oh and some will have you believe if you aren't using chopped worms at 150 yards you won't catch.

Yep that's about the size of it. The whole thing seems to be full of wannabe's who think they're next Terry Hearn, so no real change since 2021. What I'd like to know is Who's Ali's sugar daddy?

You cant carp fish unless....
You are covered in Tattoo's, one has to be a koi carp on your arm or leg.
Have a VW transporter or a Custom Transit. An estate? Go back to the 80's mush!
Are generally rude and obnoxious and possess no courtesy to others.
Take the kitchen sink and cook everything on a cobb inc a cheese toastie.
Occasionally comes out of £1k Trakker bivvy to stand over rods and go C'Mooon or some such sh*t.
Wears sh*t awful crocs and long socks.
Has PB water bucket ready to soak his equally gormless mate.
Knows a few fellas in the trade and sponsored cos you blog or hashtag some guff on your insta page. Hashtag #carpy w*nka
Smokes enough weed to choke every other angler on the lake and surrounding area.
Your not a man if you cant cast 35 wraps and spod the granny out of it. 30k minimum. 20k of worms, maggots and munga.
