I've noticed on social media since Tom Maker released his latest video lots of people have been questioning the alarms that he was using. ( me included )
They look very similar to the fox RX+ alarms so people were thinking they were potentially a new replacement or maybe a new Korda alarm ( so I've read )
However they are: Sailvvay SV1.
They are basically the fox RX+ without the price tag and a different styling, all though very similar.
They have pretty much the same tone options also with drop back differentiation.
Very similar controls on the front and back of the alarms and receiver.
I had a set delivered today, even though I've not used them yet they feel solid, very well made.
The control dials are a little stiff to turn but that could be because they are new.
The one bad issue that I have come across so far is the rubber alarm cases that come with them.
They are made from a very lightweight rubber.
This usually wouldn't be an issue as its a nice bit of protection but the issue is that as the alarm has the on/off toggle switch, I've already accidentally turned the alarm on when putting it back in the case due to having no real structure to it to keep the case away from the switch.
Obviously I've not used them on the bank yet or for any period of time but I thought I'd give my first impressions.
For only £298 for 3 + 1 they are looking decent so far.

The China knock offs?
These were on temu and ali, then ebay for a while.

Not sure what my thoughts are 100% on Chinese knockoffs like this?
As I guess Fox either gave them the spec to manufacture the alarms and they then made their own version to sell directly at half the price. Which is a bit naughty undercutting their own customer I guess?
Or Fox just bought an off the shelf Chinese designed alarm and put their name on it thus making themselves a nice earner with a 100% mark up?

They're not the Chinese ones.
These are made by Orisec, a UK based manufacturer.
Sailvvay also make / sell bait boats starting from 1k up to about 2k.
Have a look on sailvvay website and see what you think. Not that you can really tell much from that but it may give you a better idea.

I saw some on here a while ago that were the rx+ with a different name.
I would say fox possibly rebadged another Chinese manufacturers alarms
Possibly the same ones who made the tempest or the fast and lite

Sailvvay are a Chinese manufacturer of bait boats they rely on franchised distributors to resale their products

Those alarms are Chinese copies as below, this is standard practice in China a reputable company gets their products made out their and a not so professional contract manufacturer takes the design and re manufactures probably not to the same standards but they don't care.
The only Orisec I can find make burglar alarms and associated products.

If anyone planning on buying Chinese made alarms why not look at the Sonik alarms ?
For the money they are excellent, I've had 2 sets for over 2 years, SKS2 and Gizmo2 both have seen very heavy wet weather but have performed perfectly.
They are small, neat ( much more so that RX+ ) and have all the functions you need.
And if you're an old git like me the included bivvy light is a god send 😀

All they've done is changed the plastics and are charging 3 times the price compared to aliexpress or temu
