My stove must be 15 if not 20 years old and the hose from the stove to the gas canister has seen better days.

I'm surprised a replacement hose and valve from primus is forty quid so does anyone know if there is a third party alternative I can buy.

Or looking at other options, what are the micro stoves like these days something like the MSR pocket rocket?

You can buy generic steel woven covered hoses quite cheaply (sub £10) but it depends on the terminal types and thread. Which Primus stove do you have and what types of terminals?

Did you contact Primus direct.
As yes there stuff is expensive but not that expensive.
I have ordered similar spares from them in the past.
Sometimes they have posted it out free.

Have you tried the following website they might have something cheaper. But, when the pump on my Primus multi fuel broke, it was expensive to get a replacement but, I offset the cost by the many years that it will last.

I'm sure I read or seen somewhere Primus will service there. Stoves for free. Have a look at their website.

+1. I think my original MSR Dragonfly pump did 20+ years, I picked one of the newer types up on Ebay for £25, can't complain really if it lasts the same, but I'm using a Primus nowadays so the MSR will get little use...doh!

not bad at 2 quid a year if it was 20 years service!

Hadn't thought about getting it serviced, hose deffo needs replacing though.

I think it was loads of money when I bought it, people were moving off Coleman's onto gas. Probably around 100 quid so a fiver a year isn't bad I suppose.

It's one of the original easy stoves so proof spending good money is worth it for good stuff 👍.
