I am looking for a bait boat charger for my angling technics technicat bait boat. I have had there delux charger before but broke very quickly. Just want a reliable charger so I know the batteries are definitely fully charged. Thanks

Have a look on Hobby King website, they have loads of chargers.
Better to look at Howes models I don't see SLA battery chargers on hobby king
If they're the standard 12 lead acid type you don't need a special charger. I used to use my motorbike charger to do mine. As long as it charges 12v and however many amps you need you'll find loads of choice out there and a lot are fully automatic now, ie detect type of battery attached.

A while ago a local secondhand tackle dealer advertised an Imax B6 evo charger with 230v lead for £20. Had a quick google to see if it would do 24v, it doesn't but they were selling for about £35 plus maybe a tenner for a 230v lead. I noticed a well known bait boat company were advertising them with 230v lead for £75. Carp tax I suppose.

Prices are all over the place for these chargers, you can get them from Ali express for less than a tenner.
But note there are a few different models, some can do 60 watts some 80 watts their is a version 2
And sadly there are a lot of copies (fire hazards) so I'd buy with caution.

I believe I said chemistry as in 'lead acid' so I'm not sure what we're disagreeing on, I also agree with what you said.
Rightly or wrongly this is how I charged my batts for over a decade, those are HD microcat batts, I had 3 sets of them in use at any time, never had a problem.
(No, I'm not talking balancing..lol)

have a look on ebay or amazon at the Maypole smart charger that's exactly what i used when i had baitboats running on sealed lead acid batteries their under £30
