I have found a nice spot on my syndicate, a trough between gravel bars that is in a very little fished spot due to crap access, and unlikely to be found by anyone else given the angle of cast etc. my ticket starts in march but I do have access now. It's over 100 acres with around 400 carp, lots of crays, big roach , tench etc. how would you guys and girls go about getting my spot rocking? It's definitely on a route the carp cover and I'm sure it's all in how I bait it, 20k of parti once a week, pelllet and boile, tiger nuts? Too many variables!

1st thing will be to make sure that nobody can see you doing it.
when it comes to the actual baiting - little & often through the spring & then up the levels as soon as you know there are fish in the area & it's being eaten. start off with some hemp & corn (nice & cheap) & then start switching over to other baits such as boilies & nuts when you know it's being eaten.

Just an opinion but that kind of approach won't create a spot but a huge flashing we are here beacon. I'd chod fish it for as long as you can get away with it. They may well be there because it isn't a spot and unless the syndicate has low membership and all of those partly blind, you may well miss out on your hard work finding the spot.have a listen to the excellent Jason Hayward podcast.

Def bait up at night if you can so as to minimise attention . . .would not go heavy and I'd stick to maybe hemp only with some dark 8mm boilie initially . . . worse thing is to create a shining beacon that everyone else can see if it gets revisited etc . . .maybe create some decoy spots in other areas during the day and make yourself 'seen' by making a racket with a throwing stick and a pouch of large boilies; when you start in March you'll hopefully have the proper area to yourself . . .

Some good advise. Chances are if you get a spot going, start catching you can guarantee some camper will be in it before long punishing it to death 
Bait wise, don't know the water but unnpressured ones I always go with particle and boilie. Pressured waters I would go with boilie and pellet, could add a bit of particle. The boilie would be something that nobody else would be using, pellet for quick attraction and gets cleared off pretty quickly by silvers. As mentioned, I would be steady on the amount to start with, water is still cold, key point as mentioned, you need to try and see if it is been cleared off

If its close to home & you can visit regularly then for me I'd visit as often as I could to put a bit of bait in, if not then it might be better with fewer but larger amounts especially on a weather change for that spot.
In summer small silvers were doing about a kilo an hour ( particle ) on my margin spots, I was easy getting through 5 to 10 kilos on an 8 hour day session, you might need a fair bit if it really starts kicking off with crayfish, tench & big roach.
If the carp are visiting then for sure up the levels, a few nuts & small seed should hopefully still be there for the carp, will hopefully bring everything to the table and full on fishing before you're rumbled.
