Since Bob the Rod (Fosters) has retired I'm struggling to find anyone local(ish) within the Brum/Cov/Leicester area - need some minor cosmetic work done urgently (not on my face which it seems would be a lot easier )

Recommendations?

If you ever travel further south, Chris Palmer (pottys leads) is the best rod builder this way, based in Woking

Getting less and less in midlands after Kev Baynes and Bob gone.

I would try Calvin Hancock up Stoke for builds but he does not do repairs.

As mentioned try Cheshire custom rods and repairs at Rode Heath.

You could try Neil Warner who is based in rushden

Cheers Wayne. Unfortunately Its an hour a half from me

Its just the butt ring on a spod rod. I've already got the replacement ring, I think I'm going to have a go myself.

Worst case scenario is it might look a bit **** and if it bothers me that much ill get it done properly
