I currently have 2 10ft Sonik Dominator RS rods One is 3lb T/C the other 2.75 TC
Ihave 7000 size reels with 15lb line on both. 0.31 subsonik
The 3lb T/C will just chuck me a small solid bag just over 3oz in weight 73mts which is just short of where I need to be (75mtrs).
The 2.75 T/C with a lead clip set up and 2.5 oz lead gets to about 70mtrs max. I tried a 3oz lead on it but it feels crap and is straining the rod.
Looking to buy a couple of new 10ft rods that will get me to say 80mtrs comfortably without me having to put my back out straining to reach the distance.
Any recommendations and T/c required please
Budget would need to be low as possible. Thanks

Have a look at the Sonik Extractor Pro rods in 3.5tc I had the older version and they performed well
I upgraded to the Insurgents in the same tc not sure in the difference between the new Extractors and the older Insurgents
Or if can find a set the Greys Xflites in3.5 tc are a great rod 👍
Or if you are happy with your current Soniks why not get a set at a higher tc

ID over gun it a bit to cover bad weather / head winds / bigger lead or bag and go for a 10ft spod rod at 4.5lb.
Loads around for under £100 but if you have the means, the cfx from tacklebox is excellent.
I know the playing action will be hampered, but the extra power would be my choice.

You cound try the Sonik Xtractor Recon 12ft rods that have same pack down length as a 10ft Xtractor? On offer for £35 each at the minute

I'm sure you could reach that with some 3.5 xtractors surely.

Have a look at the recons. I've got the 12ft sonik insurgent recon (same pack down length as the 10ft xtractors) which I find perfect for nearly all situations. They've discontinued them ,but believe they still do the xtractor recons in 12ft.

My 9ft insurgents are 3.25 and will cast 22 wraps all day long, I'm not a great caster either! Also, maybe try a lower BS line and a shock leader?

If you can get on ok with the shorter handle the ESP quick drawer in 3.5 will comfortably do over 80 yards
