Just got an ad for this on my U tube feed. £999 . My gods this hobby is becoming ridiculously expensive, beyond most average people's reach. I would love to own one of these. It's never going to happen other than a lottery win. I'm not really sure where I'm going with this thought. If you can afford it, want it, or need it, then fine buy it. Enjoy it. Just seems to me that angling was the working mans sport, relatively affordable, relatively close to home, canals , rivers, lakes. Now it's becoming as expensive as Salmon fishing, or Grouse shooting, in Scotland.

I like nice gear, same as I like nice clobba and a nice motor; drives me to work harder / provides reward based dopamine / mitigates the consistent moaning from my ungrateful missus when I escape to the garage etc . . .do I actually need any of it to fish - no.
Still think you can fish relatively cost effectively; whilst having a power barrow is a useful tool (especially as you get older) I still enjoy (and arguably enjoy more) my £40pa BAA ticket - two rods and a rucksack, a bucket of pellet and a tin of luncheon meat . . . job done. Satisfaction in catching is arguably greater when fishing this way over grinding / going through the motions to catch your target fish on a syndy lake . . .
BTW - Some good 2nd hand deals on Nash Power Barrows ATM - saw one for £300 the other day . .

The cable connectors look better than all the others, shame you can only extend the width but not the length. Controller looks a good spec. Shame they haven't released a video showing it being set up etc.

Haven't seen one yet but they do look nicely put together (certainly better than the new Fox equivalent) My only issue is the swivelling rear wheels - could be wrong but it looks like they have no brake? Having a swivelling rear conversion kit wheel on my Nash you def need brakes for realworld use; especially when the barrow is fully loaded . . .

agreed I've had the barrow buddies rear swivel wheels for a year now, these have brakes,
game changer for the mk7 power porter. need brakes in my opinion.

It's like any other hobby really, you can spend a stupid amount if you want.
I've been cycling for years, you can buy a bike for £150 or you can spend £15k. Decent jerseys are £50-£100 a pop, decent bibshorts £80-£200, shoes anything up to £300. The electronic gears for my bike were £1500 and the carbon wheels £1200.
Then I took up running as well, you think it's a cheap hobby but you soon end up with 6-7 pairs of trainers at up to £300 a pair, and drawers full of gear. Then it's £50-£100 a time to enter half marathons and marathons, travel, hotels, food.
I also keep Boa constrictors. £300 a time to house them, the snakes themselves you can spend anything from £0 to £5k+ for a single animal. Then there's the electric bill....

Grifter, thats a blast from the past. I could hardly peddle mine in the red gear. I used to tuck the rear mudflap under and onto the wheel so it sounded like a motorbike, then attempted to jump over a few of my pals lying on the road behind my makeshift wooden ramp 😀 good old dats those.

Lol - did exactly the same - and whilst most of my mates had already got their Mag Burners!
Preferred my pimped (no brakes) Striker to my Grifter - much smaller / lighter and easier to do tricks on even way after outgrowing it . . .
Then worked 3 paper rounds and organised the Sunday papers at 4am every week to save up for my Mongoose Super Goose (with Mushroom grips / CW flat top handlebars and Beartrap pedals) - much to the jealousy of those Burner bum boys!

I had a mongoose,red mushroom grips,white mag wheels and the chrome frame.I loved that bike until some scumbag nicked it out the shed
