Hello everyone,
Previously, I asked about banksticks, and the general advice was that for hard ground, stainless steel ones are the way to go. While I'm still considering that option, I'm now leaning toward a rod pod setup where I can leave the alarms on the buzz bars with the legs attached and simply detach the center bar.
Recently, I tried out the Solar A1 pod, but the rear buzz bar was too narrow for my reels (Okuma Obsidian 12,000s). The problem is, when I try to pick up the middle or right-hand rod, the handle ends up lifting the rod to its left as well.
My question: Does anyone know of any rod pods that are particularly wide? Or, alternatively, are there buzz bars longer than 13 inches?
I'm also open to the idea of a single bankstick and buzz bar setup, but I'm still researching how to prevent them from twisting.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

I ended up using the buzz bars from an old Fox Quattro pod which were perfect for me .

Have you thought of having some buzz bars or bank sticks custom made? Keith at Defiant MPS can make them, he also does some nice pods and is very reasonably priced. He's recently released full Titanium bank sticks, though does stainless ones as well. I use his Titanium Panther, I prefer it over my Worldwide as I can take a set of sticks off to fish a rod to the side, can't do that with Buzz Bars and it means carrying a extra set of sticks.

The Saber terrain X+ (newest version) has a lovely spread on it, goes really wide, looks the part and doesn't feel cheap either.

I have a 9.5" rear and a 11.5" front and I'd say they were perfect.
I'd suggest you may just need to position the reel handles facing backwards so they easily pass the adjoining reel if you lift the rod.
Also, don't just pick up the rod, you need to hold the rod and lift the front up so the reel comes clear and then the rod pivots out of the rear butt grip.

Chris Brown does all sorts of buzz bar sizes.
They also do not twist if you use his banksticks.

When you set up your current set up,if you are worried about a reel lifting ,another on the take ,there is a simple remedy for this ..
Don't put reel handles at the bottom ,ie always make sure the reels handle,on all three reels are above the body of the actual reel in its entirety itself, that you can't hit a reel on the take /bite
I never put my handles lower than the body and reels rotar, makes sense ...especially if rats etc are about ,and you got bait on those handles near to ground level..
