I've got a set of custom built Harrison Balistas 12'6 & 3.5t.c, I love these rods, they were built in 2013, however I've fished hard at home and abroad for the past 10 years and the time has come for them to be rebuilt, I'd really like them updated with latest fittings with titanium eyes etc.
I'm looking for ideas/recommendations on a rod builder that would be happy to rebuild them for me to a high standard.
I had Cotswold in mind but I keep reading about people not getting their rods back for an age?

Contact East Coast Rod Building and Repairs on Facebook, he's a really easy guy to deal with and his work is superb. Oh and his prices very reasonable IMO.

This is just for your info and hopefully won't apply. I've got the same rods but a decade + older and had mine re whipped about 7 years ago. The rod builder told me on one of the rods, a foot of a ring hadn't been finished properly prior to fitting, ie, there was a burr on the foot which hadn't been filed down. Said burr had created a nasty gouge in the carbon, which he said he'd of been concerned about re the carbon failing at that point. Like you my rods have been fished very hard over that time and I still have complete confidence in them. Had I have of known that at purchase it might have knocked my confidence a little.

I'd recommend Chris/CJS too - he rebuilt my late fathers rods for me last year. Did a great job and was a nice guy to deal with, regular updates/good comms, work finished in a timely manner and a fair price.
