I am after a new spod rod and have a budget of £80-£100. What's people's recommendations?

I have the Daiwa Crosscast XT spod, just in that budget and works well. Daiwa kit tends to be well made and the crosscast range sits just below emblem.

Save up for a bit longer and get a Free Spirit Helical 13ft 4.5lb 2-Piece SPM Bait Up Rod for £129.00.
I've got one, a lovely rod for the money.

I've got a Shimano TX-A spod (and matching marker) and find them both more than up to the task. They aren't the slimmest or lightest but I don't feel out of place using them next to my custom Century carp rods.

I have been looking at the shimano tx a spod along with the daiwa super spod both around the £80 mark.

Wychwood Riot just the jobs just fine for me. £50 if not less.

TfT had some decent ones on sale recently. I nabbed a greys prodigy distance spod for around £70. It would be worth a look.

Friend has one, had a go and it's a very good bit of kit for the money.
