Hi all. Off to Goncourt in France in October.
We are fishing Charlie lake which is weedy, shallow, relatively large, and we're allowed to use boats. There is also no braid allowed.
I'd like to retain the option of casting from the bank as well as dropping from the boat.
What main lines would people use in this situation?

Gardner GT-HD 18 lb .
0.38 - .39, casts well for the thickness, low stretch (for a Mono).
I use if for long chuck solid bag fishing - it's good stuff.

I've not used this, but a friend of mine, who knows a bit about this sort of thing swears by thus line, and he fishes gigantica now and then.

Use the strongest/thickest line you can get away with and use strong hook-length material with big strong hooks and drop the lead to give you a chance of landing fish.

I fish a weedy water and have been using Korda touchdown in 20lb........has served me well without issue......

I use 20lb gardner hydro tuff, great line.
