Well all I can say is garbage that's all they are hit a run in open water fish kited right so bent rod to the left to stop it kiting over second rod and it straightened out fishing a hinged stiff with 12lb mainline and the hook opened is poor really poor imo
Spoke to a nice chap nash called Kirk who's response was unlucky but it happens
I said what and the conversation went on with him constantly say well it happens all the time hooks straighten out I was gobsmacked at this response and pointed out at not one point did I get a sorry from him not a single oh have still got the hook we can see what went wrong nothing of the sort told him I was fishing a low stocked big water and he never flinched just it happens all the time
Well not to me it doesn't i know it does happen but I haven't had it happen in open water since I stopped using the drennan boilie hooks in 95

A hook opening out is usually a sign that the hookhold wasn't very good to begin with. Nash hooks are bloody good

It's just a bad hook hold. It's very easy to straighten any hook if you pull from the point and not the bend.

Don't think I've ever had a drennan hook open up on me, or Nash come to think of it.
If it only happens once then maybe that's tough luck, but a few times over a year I'd be questioning the quality of the hook.
So was this after just one going on you? Impressive to put that much effort in if it was.

One turned one opened rest in the bin not chancing any more as I said haven't had a hook open out in nearly 30 yrs I can recall I just hate tackle failure it drives me crazy call it autism what ever but really messes me up might have been lucky not to have it happen much but when it does I had me question everything what if this what if that I know it sounds daft but just gets me that way

Rest assured there's nothing wrong with Nash hooks. I landed catfish over 120lb on a size 6 . When they open out it's bad luck, nothing more

Nash Chod Twisters and Chod Claws, used both extensively in my fishing, I have never had one open up on me... never.
