Hi guys just wondering if anyone has used the back wheels on a smaller nash power barrow for a length of time and can tell me whether they are useful on varying ground . The lake im fishing is a long walk mostly over level ground but there are a few wonky parts which are much less level , was wondering if the barrow is awkward with these extra wheels on . It also has to still fit in the boot of my estate. Just not sure if they will be awaste of money if i can even find any for sale

Not that I have ever seen them
but there are now 3rd party streerable swivel rear wheels for most barrows available

Just lift on the wonky parts, if you can. I've no experience of your barrow but I'm not sure I'd trust the welds with the flexing created if using 3 wheels and a heavy load on none level ground. I've seen reports of Carp Porter welds failing, one chap bought a new frame section after his went, that went again too :-(

I've got some on my Nash Evo Trax, too be fair I don't really use them there just on my barrow for convenience.
I don't like how incline the front of my barrow is with the wheels at a comfortable hight too freewheel.

I have a set on my nash power barrow and had some on my power porter before that - yes you have an incline and will need to load a barrow different to a traditional barrow whereby you get the weight over the front wheel with a rear wheel; set up you need to distribute the weight across the barrow
Personally find it much easier with the rear wheels but my lake is fairly flat - I also gather really hard to find a set of rear wheels at the minute so if you are on the fence and can find some id grab them while you can

I've used them once on my Power Metro (strangely they don't supply them £FOC with later versions of this barrow?) - and on a relatively level track but with some steep inclines in places . . . . .total waste of time IMO and made the whole journey more difficult as turning corners / undulations and your still lifting the barrow.
If it was a tarmac path from carp-park to swim or a REALLY long hike on flat ground then different gravy perhaps . . . I'm tempted to sell you mine but probably wont just incase!

Haha , thanks for your reply , made me smile as i wont sell loads of my tackle that im 99 % sure i will never use .
To be honest its not a big issue when i think about how much easier it is just having the electric barrow so i dont have to push it , now i also want it to hold itself upright so i can just walk behind it looking like im pushing I should just man up and lift it, and enjoy the fact i dont also have to push haha.

Just ordered the high version for my Metro! Spoke with Dean direct - really nice chap and v helpful - ex Prestige and know his barrows . . . may have some spare Trax back wheels for sale shortly!

had a set of dean last September for my mk7 power porter, if your carp porter pulls left or right
these rear swivel wheels fix the problem and another plus they have brakes on each wheel.
brilliant in my opinion, korda are bringing some out later on this year as well.

I've been using them on a power track for 5 years now and personally wouldn't use it without them (what's the point of a power barrow and then still having all the weight on your arms). As someone else said you did need to lift the wheel occasionally on uneven ground, but that's hardly a problem imho.
