Anybody using these already?
Not available in Europe, but some shops in the UK seem to have them.
Any feedback would be apreciated..

if its anything like the Daiwa emblem surf vs carp version the surf is higher spec and less money, so probably well worth a look.

Ordered a set of 3 in size 7000.
Very nice reels, great clutch, looks great en feels very solid and perfect size.
Spoolreducers, spare spools.
Feels like a power earo/technium, well worth checking this one out

My reel of choice for sea match fishing with braid as I can't use braid on my multipliers without the occasional tangle which I don't want in a match and of course bite indication is better. The reel is the 7000 size and is super smooth with no backlash and feels superb in use , not super lite weight like a tec mgs but feels on par with reels like the power aero but only time will tell on the longevity front.

They look pretty much identical - just the line guard looks different. (at least going by the pictures on the website), and the Vantage being 2 grams lighter in the 7000

How's the drag of these Penn reels?
The more expensive shimanos have a drag force of 20kg while the Penn has 12kg according to the specs.
Do you notice the difference?

12kg is more than enough to land big conger from rough ground and far more than you will be able to apply with any carp rod.

Guys, would you say the Drag is a good range? e.g not so quick that you can't play a fish properly?
I have a Shimano Ci4 14000 and had to buy the felt washers as the Drag was way too quick out of the box.

I have the Affinity® II Longcast Custom Carbon

Drag is quick but not overly so for sea fishing , about half a turn from locked to free spool. Not used the affinity carbons but it's a nicer reel than the original affinity 7000 I and, built to tighter tolerances and smoother . Casting distance has more to do with the caster than the reel but mine spooled up very nicely straight from the box without any adjustments.

The spool reducers that come with the reel are different sizes as well, one deep and one shallow. The reel in my picture has the thinner of the reducers fitted and took a three hundred metr spool of 0.39mm spiderwire stealth smooth.
