Looking to get a power porter in the new year.
Had ordered the barrow conversions kit but they took 6 months to send my order and then only sent one of the barrows we ordered.
I've decided to just sell my existing barrow and get a power porter.
Really unsure whether to get the mk8 or the extreme power porter.
Is there any differences? Any users of the extreme? Is it as manoeuvrable as the mk8? Pack down size etc isn't a consideration. Just want the best biggest easiest to use barrow so I want the extreme just worried about how easy it is to use.

I have the extreme, handles better when the load is more evenly spread across the bed, as apposed to over the front wheel of a traditional barrow.
The heavier you load it the more difficult it is to manage. But even with a absolute tonne of gear on it, it manages just fine as long as all heavy items are nearest to ground level.
I got the extreme because it is muddy on the tracks i use and those wide tyres manage it much better. Wouldn't be without it now and its really really helped my back on long walks (which has been worth its weight in gold to me as i regularly go straight to golf or football from the lake and im not half crippled before i start
).

If you are fishing any lakes with sloping banks then avoid the extreme,three wheels on uneven ground is a disaster.If your lakes have nice flat pathways then it would be an amazing piece of kit and will carry everything you need and more easily

Agreed - The 3 wheel (Extreme etc) are only good on flat surfaces in my experience. They are also an absolute monster of a thing .... too big imo (albeit im sure an unpopular opinion)

I've had the mk7 power porter 3 years now had to upgrade the electrics and it pulled to the left
but on a more positive note ,now korda own them in my case anyway their customer service is very good. plus to make my barrow perfect, I've got the swivel 360 kit on it now from dean ward@ barrow buddies ,he is on Facebook/ YouTube it so much more manoeuvrable. take a look . i would buy one from carp porter again.

Is the battery/motor the same as the mk8?
Size isn't an issue as it's roll in and out the van job. And regarding the 3 wheels that's just the same issue have on a mk8 I wouldn't be getting neither without rear reels. In the event of super uneven bank it's just a case of dropping the height and then lifting and using like a normal barrow
