Really like the look of the JAG one, then I wonder if it will hold a net with a float on it, anybody using one who can feedback?

Any other options, simple is best for me, and ideally just one bank stick

Any stainless versions about that I could have missed?

What about just a stainless bank stick and a locking type butt rest like the ND magnetic ones or Nash's snag ones where they close around the rod.

Or even just a decent cheap butt grip like ESP. To hold the rear of the net pole then you could just use a tent peg if needed

I use a small nash buttlock- less faff and less kit to carry.

The butt lock looks interesting, is it rubber lined, would stop the net handle turning round?

I use the jag net holder and no it doesnt seem to work with a net float so I've taken mine off. Its a great piece of kit but I too.eoild have preferred one that worked with a float. My old wychwood one did but it was very heavy.

Ive chucked various nets on the floor over the last 35 years.

Had 30s 40s and 50s in that time, **** knows how i managed it having not spunked a wedge on the latest JAG must have.

Please can someone DM me with how JAG will make me carch more fish.

I want it for resting fish in on the river

I bought one of the Nash butt grips as recommended, seem decent to be fair

Thanks for the feedback Shagnasty, as I suspected, no good with the net float

I am a world champ at leaving nets in reed beds and going home too

Nice one. Can use a pair on a cheapo buzz bar if want to lock net arms each side-obvs check the net width to suit buzz bar width. Can use 2 x individual locks if cant push handle into bank. Stops pole lifting.

I was thinking similar myself at one point mate, it's a good idea. I was thinking two thin round bar type U rests to sit the net frame in. See how this pans out

Jag one is a fail with the net float in place, I did adapt mine to work by adding spacers to the U-rests but they should have thought about it first imo.. Maybe they only designed it for use with a fish in the net and thought it looked cool with the net simply resting in it, but of course no net floats in sight on the promo shots..

Just ordered the Avid one so will see how that works..

Agreed not a vital bit of kit but for rough gravel pit banks, it is handy to be able to unhook the fish in the net / unclip the hooklink, then let it recover while sorting the sling out.

Same here I ended up buying the korda net so i don't need a net float 😂. Solar p1 now sits in the bushes as a spare

I bought the avid one due to the jag one I ordered being cancelled 2 days later possibly due to being out of stock,the jag was from browns angling and the avid one was for AD online.
The avid one has 2 clasps facing in opposite directions and you have to use 2 bank sticks which does make it more sturdy/secure,in fact you can take a bucket of bait and slide it on the landing net pole and use it to quickly bait up as well(as long as the bucket isn't full to top of bait).

The dobbins bobbins landing net has a very simple solution to this. A hole in the spreader block, and a spike on a bankstick to put it on. It works fantastically well, and I'm very surprised other manufacturers haven't done something similar. Well, that I'm aware of anyway.

Reckon it will work with the aqua net arm floats?
