Hi , any users of the snugpak navigator sleeping bag ?
I currently have a trakker 365 , I find it too heavy on top of me and not particularly warm either as as it seems to harbour cold spots !
Looking at non fishing bags to avoid the tax and the navigator states comfort -2° and low to -7° .
Any thoughts greatly accepted

I've used a Navigator for a couple of years, and like it, but maybe not for everyone. It's quite a small bag, but suits my bed (Duralite) fine. There's a slightly annoying neck baffle, but I've always got comfortable in it. It doesn't have a crash zip, so needs modifying, Ive never zipped mine up, so doen't bother me. I'd treat the -2C figure with a big pinch of salt. I've not used mine in particularly cold weather, but wouldn't think it would be suitable once the temps get down low, though I do feel the cold a lot more now than I used to.

I'm limited in choices as I can't stand fleece inside a sleeping bag :(

No sure if it's in your budget but the fortis snugpak doesn't have fleece lining and is very good 👍

techlite is very warm and lightweight.

The techlite is great but needs a cover when it's down to a couple of degrees though.

Thanks for that reply , I won't be spending that sort of money and then needing a cover aswell !
Maybe a navigator as I first mentioned especially as they're £40 new and either slip it inside an old big snooze I've got or buy a “good” cover ??

I think it would work well inside another bag. The less air space inside the bag the warmer it is.

🤣 have been in techlite and it has dropped to -8 and lake frozen..... snug as a bug

Well done but everyone is different.
I've spent the last few years in one and when it gets down to a few degrees I feel like I need my cover so I use it, I sleep better and feel warmer with the extra weight of it I think.

Totally agree, had a teclite since they came out and wouldn't consider using it without a cover in the winter.

Never needed a cover for my techlite and I fish all year round regardless of the weather.
