After having my delkim plus alarms from I think close to when they were 1st released I'm looking for a new set of something. Gardner alarms are reviewing really well the moment so I'm considering those,need a receiver which is why I probably won't get delkims as my budget won't stretch that far....any opinions welcome good or bad please. Thinking I'll get around 75 quid on ebay so I have that to come off whatever I purchase. Also I can't really see the point in spending well over a £100 on a new landing net,again any opinions very welcome.
What about mini microns? I haven't used them but they're cheap and look good
ATT's all day long.

I have both thr ATTs and Mini Microns already mentioned and can recommend both. I prefer the ATTs and they are my main, go to alarms but the Fox alarms have not let me down and im happy to use them occasionally, especially when my son comes fishing with me. Neither cost the earth and both are reliable

Fox mini micron's are superb.
My only criticism is changing the volume, you have to scroll through and go louder before you can get to the quiet setting - but that's easily combatted with putting your thumb over the sounder.
Rock solid and small, great sensitivity.

Not sure which Gardner alarms you mean, if its the TLB I have no experience of those, but, if its the ATTS - they had a real cult following a few years back. I had a set myself - still do. They're pretty much bomb proof and simple - you adjust the "sensitivity" by changing the rollers to have more or less magnets.
Some cant get past the fact there is no sounder on the alarms at all, i.e. you're completely dependent on the remote for any audio indication, but, so long as you carry spare batteries (most of us do for alarms anyway) then there isn't really a problem.
I know one guy on an old ticket I used to fish that used to hide a snide 4th rod, literally underwater using an ATTS alarm.
Was always a firm favourite of the secret squirrel types too - where they didn't want to announce to the rest of the lake they'd had a take, keeping the remote either really quiet or literally just on vibrate.
Love the simplicity of them too - great alarms - basic as, but rock solid and they do what they're designed to do. I now have the new TXI-D's but in all honesty I never use anything other than adjusting the response and adjust the volume - other than that they're reset to factory defaults. Others will argue you need the bells and whistles - I just don't share their views.

That was the original motivation for me - not so much to be "secret squirrel" but I didn't want to be one of those complete idiots that adjusts their alarms every five minutes on full volume round the lake. As it turns out, over a decade later, they do absolutely everything I want, are bomb proof and are probably the best bit of kit I have ever bought / owned.

I've owned Delks, Mini Micron X and ATTS. Still own the first two but didn't get on with the ATTS.
Yes, they are 'bomb proof', but I haven't had a fault with the Delkim or Fox either. They can all be set to silent head and sound from receiver if that is your preference, it is mine.
I'm just not a fan of roller wheels with embedded magnets. They may be fine on some waters but I tend to fish big weedy venues. The ATTS are a pain in a big wind and a pain fishing in weed. They would beep once every 5-10 minutes for hours as the weed collapsed at night.Then do the same as the weed tried to rise up again when the sun came out.
In a big wind if the magnet is close to the sensor (even with the 2 magnets) they will CONSTANTLY beep. You can spin the roller to move the magnet away, but eventually it works its way back round.
I don't care about tones, volume, flashy lights or any of that jazz, but a bit of sensitivity adjustment is a sensible thing to have if you fish waters where the conditions can really get up.

I had to relegate my ATTS alarms due to them being cursed 🤣
I never caught a fish whilst using them for nearly 2 seasons! Experimented by using 1 rod on a different alarm and caught but nothing on the ATTS's.
It's ashame as I loved the simplicity of them

I had a " Lucky Sweatshirt" like that. I ended up burning it under a full moon to remove the bad luck.

The vast majority of waters I fish are exceptionally weedy and I use the ATTs with no issues at all. I use the standard wheels supplied and have a set of more sensitive ones to change to if I feel the need, but to date I haven't
