Anyone know or recommend any long shank style hooks but with a beak point? The korda long shank x are great but the straight point gets turned over a bit much as I'm using them in the river where there's a lot more boulders and snags. Any help appreciated.

The new pattern wide gape long shanks by fox are slightly beaked but i've not used them yet.

The new fox ones turn over very easy aswell I've found

Maybe extend the shank with shrink on a standard BP hook?
I don't recall seeing a BP LS carp hook.

Not BP and bend out under pressure - for me, an open water, no weed/snags hook. Learnt that the hard way.

fantastic pattern and in the size three, a decent wire gauge. but with an eye big enough for doubled up stiff materials. Really like these and had some really decent fish on them with zero issues.

How do the JP hooks compare size wise to Trig Hammers?

I think he offers two long shank types, one with curve and one without it seems - are they a similar size to Trig Hammers?

Fox wide gape long shanks in size 5 (size 4 are too big for me)are excellent hooks, and very sharp straight out of the packet.

I recently caught a very hard fighting 42lb mirror which had the rod at full compression on several occasions, the hook was never coming out and was in tact apart from the point being dulled .

I use them on a pop up rig , so unsure how they would fare in a river/ rocky bottom .
