I'm looking for a liquid for winter and was thinking of using Calanus. Would you recommend Calanus for winter use and if so would you soak overnight , thanks ?

I've used it a bit this year. It's fairly thin. I don't see why it wouldn't work during the cooper months. It's not that oily I've found. Sure there will be some replies of people who have used it over winter soon enough.

I'd use it through the colder months infact couldn't you mix a bit of hemp oil with it as well I use the dna calanus and I've just had a fresh order in from them this week

I'm happy to use calanus summer and winter. I've bought it from three different bait companies, two were very similar but the third was a fair bit thinner than the others. This may not be a bad thing, as it should soak into baits better. Just wondered if others had come across this.

For me I like liver in winter. Geoff Bowers said some time ago liver is great in winter because of the vitamin b content, I don't understand much about bait but I listen to him as he knows his stuff.
I'm sure calanus wil be good in winter also. It's included in the DNA bug which has a tremendous track record in winter
