So I'm looking to get some custom 'stow' style indicator heads made but they will need a carbon line clip whipping on to them. Has anyone got any experience of any rod builders (or similar) who would be able to help?

Not sure if this is a help, but I did some carbon tube stow style indicators and just held the clip on with tape and shrink tube over the top.
It's not as tight as a whipped on clip, but enough tension for an indicator. I think you could make it as tight as a whipped one by using epoxy glue to attach the clip.
Definitely not as pretty as whipping, but certainly looks smart enough.
I also had the Johnson Ross ones but found the clips too stiff and ended up taming them with silicone tube.

Not sure if I am missing something here, but whipping is simple to do, nothing hard about it at all and anybody can do it. Since the 60's when I learnt how to do it, over the years I have made most of my own rods and floats and anything else were whipping is involved etc
Just google rod building whipping etc.
Then practice with some normal cotton or braid etc on a pencil and once you have the knack and confidence, whip the clips to the indicator.
Probably whip each one in less than 5 mins and then apply the varnish etc.
The Stows I made a few years ago before I gave them away I just whipped the clip off a BIC biro to the body of the indicator.

Dont use epoxy, yacht varnish will be fine on those.

I'm pretty sure my Johnson Ross ones I had from the tackle box had the sliver of carbon secured with glue and shrink tube over the top , you could easily whip them on yourself then cover in shrink tube for a neat finish
