Anybody got any long term reviews ? I'm looking for a nut freezer bait to use on my winter water, it responds really well to them, so looking at manilla as I can get it at a good price, anyone used it with some success ? Cheers

I've used Manilla during the winter and caught fair few fish, although this was on shelf life, not the freezer ones!

Great bait, caught pretty much everywhere I've used it for the past few years and its done me proud on some tricky venues. I was a fishmeal man through and through for many years but ended up on a water where the carp showed a distinct preference for creamy nut and birdfood type baits, long and short it caught the biggun for me and another angler that year and they were the only captures of it so naturally confidence was through the roof so i continued to use it on subsequent campaigns with great success. I don't know if its really a thing or perhaps just a coincidence but it seems to be a great choice for big commons.

I'm open to any brand really, just want the best quality nut bait I can find to be honest, manilla is easy to get and cheap at my local go outdoors so it's convenient but I'd rather pay more for a better quality nut bait if there is any that are a lot better. I've been having a look tonight and the Oxford carp baits Mc nut looks good as does the creamino. Would they be regarded as a better bait ?

I think he rolls everything in house now from what I've seen on here, seems very well regarded either way, anyone got reviews/opinions of the Oxford Mc nut ? Cheers

Scientific Baits Squirrel. I don't use nut baits as they just don't work very well where I fish. Weird but true, no idea why. Dean makes bait that works.

I have been using Bug for 18 months and doing really well on it but A mate sold all his tackle because of health reasons and he had 12kg of Manilla in his freezer and he offered it to me plus hook baits and liquids at friends price so I went for it to use in in our club lakes, first time out I put a kilo of 15mm out plus some that had gone through the crusher along with some cloudy Manilla, 20 minutes later 25.12 sitting in the net and tbh I have caught on it every time out but have not tried it on the harder lakes but when I go on one of those lakes I will give it a go

No Brainer ... Poacher Baits Tiger Nut & Maple, with various matching Hookbaits in diff sizes. Wish they'd do a Shelf Life Bait.
